    Led Zeppelins influence can't be measured they have inspired so many musicians, fans, and genres of music. There are only a handful of bands that have achieved that amount of success. Kashmir is another one of their epic songs, a must listen. Appreciate your reaction, music is universal, and sharing it with one another brings people together 😀

    I'm glad you didn't break the #1 rule NEVER interrupt a guitar solo. Especially one of Jimmy Page's. That solo was completely improvised by Jimmy on the spot. The band members are: Lead singer -Robert Plant Guitarist-Jimmy Page Bassist/keyboardist- John Paul Jones Drummer- John "Bonzo" Bonham. Each are one of if not the best of what they do. If you'd like to see why John "Bonzo" Bonham is the greatest drummer in history check out the concert version of 'Moby Dick". It's about 15 minutes but if you like drums it's a must listen.

  • @dickcnormis1444
    @dickcnormis1444 Жыл бұрын

    The top neck of the guitar has 12 strings, you can play chords and strum on that neck, it also has a more ringing sound , like chimes. The bottom neck has 6 strings , which is a standard guitar which is used for chords and the guitar solo. Check out The Rain Song from this same concert, it’s a beautiful orchestral song with intricate guitar playing.

  • @richsouthall1937

    Page could make his guitar sing, cry, wail, laugh - he could bring any emotion to light with his guitar. And their stage presence is off the charts; have you ever seen two guys with more charisma and sensuality than Page and Plant - unbelievable really.

    One of the most beautiful songs ever written and Robert Plant has such a great voice. Just pure excellence. Jimmy Page on guitar, John Bonham on drums and John Paul Jones on Bass, what a fantastic band this was! I never get tired of hearing this song. Like all of the best bands of this era, each member had to excel or the band would not thrive. There were so many great musicians at this time and being a real musician meant that you spent time living and honing your craft, there were no technical tools to help you, you were on your own. Pure talent and hard work.

    On an entirely different note, I think you'd really enjoy The Flower Duet from Leo Delibes' opera _Lakmé._ It is perhaps the most beautiful female duet in all of opera. The duet is sung by Lakmé, a Hindu priestess, daughter of the Brahmin priest Nilakantha, and her handmaiden Mallika. In it Lakmé asks Mallika to go with her down to the riverside to gather flowers. (Lakmé is a French version of the name Lakshmi.) There are many videos of the duet on youtube, most of them in concert versions rather than scenes from a fully staged opera. Of these my favorite is this one, sung by the great Russian soprano Anna Netrebko, singing Lakmé, and the wonderful Latvian mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča, singing Mallika. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mqahl5uzoaaxdbg.html

    Lovely reaction both of you 😊 I think you guys will like 'Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms' 💗 Edit: I'm new to your channel. From what I can see, you MUST get your ears around 'Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms' 😊 and if you feel like something different but also life-changingly good - 'Lowkey - Fire in the Booth'. Start with part 1 😉💓
