The obvious choice next Karnivool song to checkout would have to be New Day off of the same album.

A great song! Ian Kenny is the vocalist and I personally seem to enjoy anything he sings on. Been a fan of these guys for over 10 years now - they put on a great live show and I love how atmospheric they are in the music. Thanks for checking out some Vool! - "New Day" was my first love from this band - should give it a go if you return to these guys!

Love the band and the reaction. “New Day” is a great one and “Mauseum” is another favorite. Thanks for the Karnivool. I would recommend the band Tesseract as well. “Juno” live at Bloodstock 2019 is incredible. “April” is another good Tesseract tune. Just some ideas. Thanks again for the awesome prog reactions! Keep it up!

Honestly, the song Change, the next one on the album is an absolute banger as well! One of my favorites from them. Other great ones I personally very much love are Mauseum, Aeons, and Cote.

Thank you for making the porcupine tree comparison. Been saying that for a while. Especially that bridge part in Goliath sounds like Deadwing

Heya, great reaction, I really enjoyed it! Karnivool is one of my fav bands and their album "Sound Awake" where this track is from really is a goldmine. I would strongly suggest to check out the song "Change", which is the last song of the album and the one that Deadman's end leads into. It's a really unique song and in !y opinion one of the best recent prog rock songs of all time. Gives me goosebumps at the end every time. They're all fantastic musicians but I'm especially fascinated by their Drummer Steve Judd as he has a very unique way of writing and playing grooves. Their great singer is called Ian Kenny btw and is also there lead singer of the band "Birds of Tokyo". Keep up posting videos, great work and lots of Love from Germany

And yeah musically I've always put them somewhere between porcupine tree and tool but in their own realm.

That one had plenty of changes in it..pardon the pun. That end bit was a reminder of change part 1 from previous album & lead into Change Part 2.

I was blown away the second I was introduced to this album. They are an incredible band. I think I suggested this before, but you should check out 'Pain of Salvation - Accelerator'. Don't let the name put you off (it did put me off at first)

Not sure what happened with this video but for some reason, you have the song bleeding through twice to the video, so there's this effect (from our watcher point of view that is), there's this effect of hearing the song twice with the second one being on a slight delay.

Thanks for the comment, but I can't replicate what you're mentioning at all. I've listened to it on KZread, my wife did on a different device, and I even checked the original file, and don't have that issue anywhere. Not sure how or why you're getting that, but thanks for looking out nonetheless and thanks for the listen!

@@ophreacts214 it wouldn’t matter what device you’re checking it on. It’s in the audio itself…. On all my devices it has the effect. Maybe you’re not understanding the effect I’m describing but I have a home recording studio and I know this song well and I’m positive of what I’m saying. Let me explain better. It’s like the song is playing out of the left speaker, and then the song is playing out of the right speaker at the same time, EXCEPT, the one on the right speaker has about a 5-10 millisecond delay. This is actually used as a recording technique to widen a stereo sound but it’s usually only done at around 2-3 milliseconds, as once you spread it further, you get it a little too far apart, such as what’s in this video. Let me make sure nobody is misunderstanding me though. I’m not saying it’s separated by speakers in this particular video, I’m saying it’s playing twice and the separation is in there in the whole mix (both speakers, same time). You basically had the song somehow echoing through as a source of audio to your video twice, only one is slightly delayed due to its signal processing over the other…. (As if along with your voice audio being added to the song in the video, so to was the song a second time). I’m sorry if you can’t notice it, try listening to it not on a phone but thru studio monitors. Make sure also that you’re listening to the correct studio version of the song too, maybe it’s directly from your source audio to begin with. Anyone else who understands this stereo widening effect who plays your version, and the standard studio version will certainly hear it also and back me up. :) It’s not a show stopper, just very noticeable to me. Cheers!!

I hear a slight reverb in the audio as well. The drums in this song are very clean but with the reverb it’s detracting a bit.

Cheers mate! I'm actually an Everton supporter, but when I was over In 2017 with some mates to see Everton, we went to a few lower league matches as well, including up in Blackpool. They played Stevenage that particular day. We learned a lot about the club and the troubles with the Oystens at the time, and I got kind of a soft spot in my heart for the Seasiders! But yeah, neither of our clubs doing particularly the well at the minute. Thanks for the comment and for the listen!
