I've only been watching the Eurovision final performance so I had forgotten a little bit just how good the UMK performance was, too. I recommend checking the final performance and maybe even the music video too so you can put on English subtitles :)

That was NOT his Grand Final performance. In the grand final, he starts inside a box, and knocks pieces out of it from inside, putting his face up against the holes ... then he eventually breaks out! This looks like his winning "Finland's Got Talent" performance (or whatever it was)

They send their "worst/bizarre" songs or their best (ie small countries for pride), because the winner hosts the next year and no one wants to host. The voting is 100% along political lines so it gets INTERESTING. My Favorite was from like 10 years ago, Russia sent a group of grandma "Babushkas" singing folk music to techno beats. But everyone loved it and it got either won or almost did. This song was half death metal/pop and the theme was Human Centipede. LOL
