J-hope grew up dancing to the original Chicken Noodle Soup when he first started dancing, he paid a lot just to remake the song. He has so much respect he is brilliant. You should check out chicken noodle soup and Daechwita versions with all 7 members performing them!

This is a remake of a classic early 2000's song of the same title by DJ Webstar and Young B. I love how J-hope's version includes korean, english, and spanish! It's so much fun, and what makes it even better is that he made sure that the original artist got paid for him to create this remake! That's real respect coming from J-hope. I also love how J-hope and Becky G were able to become friends from this collab. They actually did their first stage collaboration for this song when J-hope performed at Lollapalooza. It was a surprise for everyone there, we had no idea!! Thanks for the reaction to this one. 💜💜

JHope is pure class. Not only did he pay top dollar for the rights directly to the original artist to honor her for making the song that inspired him to start dancing, he credited every backup dancer on screen which no one ever does in a music video. CLASS ACT. BTS especially the youngest 3 are obsessed with this song and they did an OT7 all members live version of it that is soooo good.

You guys have to listen to Jhope's More and Hangsang. Base Line is also good. Dang... so is pandora's box. Yeah... so many great songs.

J-Hope has such a huge solo discography at this point and it’s so varied - from his solos within BTS to his mixtapes, now solo album. I think it’s so early for you guys to pick your favourite at this point. Especially since his most current Jack in the Box album (which Arson and What If came from) was such a turn for him from what he had at released before. Can’t wait for you guys to hear more.

When I was sick I always got soup, crackers, and a 7up. Later, I found out it works for hangovers too. You have to hear Hangsang live at Lollapalooza. I’m not kidding. Its your lane. I feel like you haven’t seen all his sides until you hear that.

@@silviarm7352 Yes. I think there is a video of both Baseline and Hangsang at Lollapalooza with subs. I mean, that whole show was impressive, with some gorgeous drone footage.

the live version of this where all the members sang it is also one of my all-time favorite live performances. it's hilarious but at the same time really good. The guys even crashed becky's spanish lyrics! also, now that you're at jhope and have not listened to a lot of his solo stuff I'm here to recommend you watching his Lollapalooza performance. I'm sure people have told about it before but trust when I say it's a masterpiece. It has everything, you can see how much of a performer jhope is. First half has more hardcore hip hop songs and he even rapped his cypher pt. 1 verse. Second half has more funky songs like this one! and of course if you do it, you could react to the studio versions of the songs that catch your attention as well. I"m pretty sure the setlist includes the entirety of Jack In The Box, so that's something since you have listened to it either.

He also credited every backup dancer in this video because he knows how hard it is for dancers to get recognized! He did this at Lollapalooza, you really should watch/react to it. He was the 1st South Korean solo artist to be invited to an American music festival, he was the 1st of the members to have a solo concert, and it was AMAZING! He was the last artist of the night and the crowd size and ARMY bombs (flashlights) was insane.

chicken noodle soup (by webster and young b) holds a lot of meaning to jhope since its one of the songs that he danced a lot to when he was learning to dance.

Seems like the original song was a social commentary on the food scarcity in Harlem. Jhope at Lollapalooza is mind-blowing. If you think Arson and More was good, wait till you hear the live version of the songs. He's a BEAST on that stage. That band just worked absolute magic with the songs. How I wish they would go on tour or at least release a concert CD!

I wanted to add that this song also inspired Becky G too, I believe, to become an artist. So both of them were influenced by this song. Personally for a while this wasn’t really a favorite song of mine. I liked but not as much as some of his other music. It has grown on me a lot…I actually love his music. I think with Jhope he does a lot of things with Korean words and stuff that most people who don’t speak Korean or know the culture don’t fully understand his songs. That is also including myself. I have heard many times that Jhope lyrics are actually really deep and using a lot of interesting/old references of Korean culture. I wish I knew Korean lol…Choosing is too hard but for me I think my favorites songs of his right now are these (granted this changes all the time especially when my mood changes): Daybream, HopeWorld, P.O.P, Equal Sign, Arson, MAMA, and Saftey Zone
