Ann Wilson is particularly nuts with the vibrato. Most singers have a pretty tight range where they can hold a vibrato that perfectly, but Ann Wilson just fucks about and does it whenever she wants. Monster vocalist.

The Wilson sisters have no equals. And the rest of the band is just as amazing.

Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson. Nancy rocks the guitar and Ann blows us away with her amazing vocals.

For us who grew up in the Rock Era, we know all their great songs. Great rockers with great voices.

A lesser hit was Heartless. It’s my fave. Barracuda has an interesting back story. The lead guitarist and lead singer are sisters: Ann and Nancy Wilson. They’re also known for their Led Zeppelin covers. Their version of Battle of Evermore is an amazing example of the singing and playing skills of both.

You will definietley want to react to "Barracuda" and "Magic Man." Also, I believe you have already reacted to Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin? If so, then you must react to the 2012 Kennedy Center tribute to Led Zeppelin which featured the Wilson sisters from Heart. I believe that Ann Wilson is one of the greatest rock vocalists of any gender of all time (and sister Nancy, as you observed is pretty awesome on guitar). Ann Wilson, now in her 70s can still sing like she did nearly 50 years ago.

Such a good song

Ann and Nancy Wilson bringin' the fire! Heart is a great band to explore. They really brought a lot to the 70's rock scene. I think what I like most about their body of work is the variety of style within a single genre. You know when you hear a song like "Barracuda" followed by "Dog and the Butterfly" that you're hearing the exact same band on the extreme limits of single genre. Enjoy the rabbit hole; there's gonna be a lot of us cheering you on along the way.

Another home town band. The lead singer, Ann Wilson, attended the same high school as my brother in a suburb of Seattle. I don't know how well they new each other (he played lead guitar in another band) but we all knew Heart! Nobody sings like Ann, and the music they wrote was inspirational to us hippie chicks.

Great band. They had several big hits in the 70s through the 90s. My faves were Dreamboat Annie, Magic Man, Barracuda ( another realy catchy fast paced song like this one), among others. They also did a phenomenal cover of Stairway to Heaven for the Kennedy Center Honors for Led Zeppelin.

Ann and Nancy Wilson (Heart) is always a must see live! Good choice. And, they are better with age! Highly Recommend: Alone/These Dreams - Live from Seattle Straight On - Live from Atlantic City

Heart is not a girl band, not with 3-4 men consistently in their line up backing them. Actual girl bands, all female: Fanny, the Runaways, the Bangles, the Go Go's, and 4 Non Blondes.

Her audio in this version is actually very low. It’s more impressive on the studio version

My two most favorite Heart songs are Barracuda and Magic Man. Those are probably the two most recognizable Heart songs. Other songs you might like are Nothing At All, Straight On, and Love Alive.

Just something interesting that I'm reminded of whenever I see their early live performances: at this point in their lives, Ann was (at least in my eyes) notably more attractive than Nancy. Ten years later I still felt the same, but the idiots directing their videos in the 80s were trying to make Nancy a sex symbol ("in this scene, you'll ride a horse with open cleavage") while only filming Ann from the shoulders up because god help us if a slightly overweight but still gorgeous woman is seen on MTV. Just says something about entertainment in the 80s I guess.

I can't stand those vids either. It's so obvious what they were up to. Ann is very beautiful to this day and imo has way more talent than Nancy. I hate the way Nancy plays with over-exaggerated movements to try to keep eyes on her. I don't know which of her band mates said this, but they said she doesn't know how to be in a band.

I'm not really understanding how you've never heard of heart. I'm British and I understand what American rock icons they are. As previously mentioned, check out their tribute to Led Zeppelin. I'm sure you must have heard of them. The best cover version of Stairway to heaven I've ever heard, and they perform it Infront of Zeppelin and the then president Obama and wife who are clearly digging it. ✌️❤️🇬🇧
