fuck yeah man, one of my favoutites from GNR!!! So many chords... Fun fact: it was not played live before they reunited because there are so many chords.. izzy needed a sheet with the chords to be able to play it :)

I wish more reactors would look into this song. It's a masterpiece from so many perspectives, the lyrics, the transitions, the production. It takes me on an emotional roller coaster. Worth overy second of that 10 min.

Duff's bass playing is the best and in concert you can tell this song is one of his favorites to perform. :)

This is one if my all time favorites Guns N Roses song! And it's hard to pick a favorite Guns song! But I love these GnR songs bcuz they kick ass & never really got the recognition they deserved (IMHO), "Get In The Ring" "Pretty Tied Up" "Locomotive" "Dead Horse" "Bad Apples" They are just so fuckin awesome! My favorite GNR song of all, and an absolute masterpiece. Such an underrated song that doesn't get enough love. It's an epic 10 minute song from start to finished, and it doesn't even have a chorus.

This might he my favorite GnR song. The last half has some of the best lyrics.

One of my favorite songs ever. So unique. Also the original length of this song was 15 mins but they cut it down to 10 for the album lol. I used to ride the greyhound to Vancouver back in the day. I had a walkman that played cassette tapes. Yes I just said that! I had GNR illusion 1, the whole trip I would listen to the tape both sides over and over the whole trip! Axl deserves an award just for that song! Good one bud!

This song was written after an OD. The most interesting part is that there is no hook, no chorus, just straight lyrics! Amazing!

You made a good point about singing this song, it's really hard to song it live. In his prime(for me his prime is his all life anyway, that's how much i like him), Axl didn't handled it so well and he would run out of breath in the last part. It's almost insane to song this live, as well as You Could Be Mine. As strange as it seems Axl deals with coma much better now when he sings it live.

The lyrics of this song are probably the most indicative of Axls state of mind back then. It's all there. Sadness, Anger, Vulnerability, Rage, Sorrow, Regret, Self Pity, Fuck everyone and everything, Insight and ignorance, intelligence, stuborness, and and all conuming self belief and doubt, all at the same time.... in a 10 minute song.

Just a fuckin major rock n roll ride from beginning to end!! Banger!! Axl really shows how its done on this one!

Maybe one of the most underrated song about Gns. Anyway they ruled the 80'. Try some DIO and rock ON bro 🤘🏻🔥

I was blessed enough to see that tour. Saw it at 3 rivers stadium in Pittsburgh! Faith no more opened. GNR and Metallica both did full sets. It was a 9hr concert. Worth every minute! 🔥🤘💜

It was amazing... Faith No More opened, in Foxboro, MA. Best tour ever. Well, except for the riots and stuff. :)

@@kristinabushnell3652 It was... and it wasn't. First, it was supposed to be in July, and the morning of the show I found out it had been postponed to September. Well, Sept in Massachusetts can be cold and rainy.. and it was. Faith No More and Metallica put on a great show, but there was a 90+ minute delay while they changed the stage for GN'R, and the crowd got very restless, and started throwing stuff. I saw a little kid get hit in the head with a heavy souvenir cup twice, and I got hit in the hand as I tried to cover my head. The only thing that stopped the crowd was they started showing female audience members flashing on the big screen, so that stopped the stuff flying through the air cuz people were distracted by boobs. GN'R wasn't as good as I had seen them before.. Axl seemed mad, and got even madder when someone threw a glass bottle that smashed on his piano during November Rain. He sang the rest of it sitting down on the stage. They did play a very angry version of Out to Get Me though, that was cool.

I remember listening to this song years ago. And then reading the outro lyrics over and over. It’s a very complex song.

This song was my first introduction to guns n roses, and music in general, my dad chose this song to show me when I was tiny and honestly was the best decision. Its in my top 5 songs of all time, such an epic song

Use your illusion 1 is my favourite guns n roses album and this song coma is an absolute masterpiece.

Fucking great. And the last singing part is one of Axl's best.

Okay-bit of trivia. The voice of "the devil" in this song is Alice Cooper-just in case you get that as the million dollar question.

During an argument Axl downed an entire bottle of pills and ended up in the hospital. He was just thankful the "fight was over". That's Coma. Another brilliant masterpiece from a trouble manic depressive and a bunch of misfit druggies

Btw, I had major tears, as always when listening to this song, and it wasn't sad tears. It was tears of amazement on this song, but not of course as much ae Sweet Child O' Mine!

don't mention G n F'n R and Kanye in the same video! Should not be allowed in the same Century!.... Matt Sorum was a great choice to replace Steve. I wish more people would react to Guns N Roses - so many gems and insights within their material. This one is not that much longer than Estranged..... Awesome message in the last two minutes of this song!
