For the record, the featured main vocal on “Just the Two of Us” is by Bill Withers of “Ain’t No Sunshine”, “Lean on Me, and “Lovely Day” fame. Like how Bruno Mars is the featured singer on “Uptown Funk”, but Mark Ronson is the primary artist.

I guess you know by now that Grover Washington is the one playing sax. He was from Philly and was primarily a jazz artist. He has a classic sax instrumental called Mr.Magic as well as many other great tunes By now you must know that the vocalist is the great Bill Wiithers.He has so many songs to choose from, most written by him and many of them classics. Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone, Lean On Me, Use Me Up and Grandma's Hands are all excellent. I would especially love to see your reaction to Use Me Up. Sadly both of them have passed on, but they leave a rich musical legacy.

It’s funny watching y’all react to this. My daddy used to sing this song to me when I was little. I’m 19 now and he still listens to it all the time.

PLLLLLZZZ Don't. I can not stand that song UUUUGGGGHHH !!! I've seen Larry Graham live @ the Nissan Provillion along side EWF & Lady T . Awesome show, but Larry started singing that dang song My Lil sis & had 2 take a leave . But Larry can play a mean Bass ,he should just stick 2 that PERIOD !!!

My favorite sax player! Grover Washington Jr, was a great sax player who died after taping a performance for a new years eve show in 1999. He was also a producer, writer and arranger. His take on Marvin Gaye's classic, Mercy Mercy Me, is a must hear for anyone who loves the sax. His album, Mister Magic, is a classic and helped set the stage for the jazz fusion era. Saw him four times in concert and he was always on point. I cried when he passed. It was like losing a family member. He collaborated with Bill Withers on this track, but worked with many people from different genres of music. Bill did a bang up job on this jazzy reboot of his original song. RIP Grover and Bill...

He did one with Patty Labelle also equally as beautiful.

When I was 16, working at Specs Music, I had a crush on a co-worker who loved jazz. I asked him for some recommendations. He said Winelight by GWJ, and Spyro Gyra. Love both of them to this day.

Ok guys. Grover is my FAVORITE artist. Thank you for listening to him. But the songs on here you really need to hear are “Winelight” and “Let It Flow”. Grover has a way with his sax that makes it seem almost like singing. Listen to his other albums. Reed Seed is my personal favorite (and Live at the Bijou).
