    This is a good live version, but you really should hear the studio version because it's recording magic. It's the studio version that was a staple of the airwaves for so many years and that fans recall.

    Silver Springs was one if those songs she wrote about Lindsey. It includes the great lines "You will never get away from the sound of the woman who loves you " and " I'll follow you down til the sound of my voice will haunt you". Watching her turn and sing those lyrics to him on stage in the official music video is something else.

    Hope this video is allowed to stay up, FM is known for blocking. You should check out the studio version of this song. Some others: Gypsy, Go Your Own Way, Rhiannon This song was about her breakup with Lindsey ( the white suited guitar player ), and "Go Your Own Way" was his response. Lots of drama in the band.

    Rumors, their most successful album to date (breaking all kinds of records, globally) was their most successful album (where this song comes from), that kicked their careers into the stratosphere & it's all about the band members break-up's. Stevie wanted the break-up; Lindsay (to her right, on gat) did not, & his song to her "Go Your Own Way" wasn't so forgiving :-)The Keyboardist/fellow singer/songwriter, Christine, & the bass player John, broke up. & Mick the drummer divorced his wife at the time... it was apparently rocks infamous band soap opera LOL

    Stevie is singing this song about her boyfriend which is right beside her. If I remember correctly, he wrote a song about her too, in retaliation to this one. But I can't remember which song it was. Was it Go Your Own Way? I always found them amazing going through the dark stuff in their relationship, but still managed to keep it together to perform together.

  • @BlueseySole
    @BlueseySole3 жыл бұрын

    The guy in the white polyester suit, playing the guitar, is Lyndsay Buckingham (who has a short lived solo career after being kicked out of Fleetwood Mac). He and Stevie Nicks, the pretty blonde singing lead, had a thing going on. But they had a bad split. Mick Fleetwood didn’t want to lose Stevie (who was a lead singer and main staple to the band then) so Lyndsey has to go.

    Fleetwood Mac is one of the few bands where I recommend some of the live videos. " I'm So Afraid" is a great one to look up a live show of, especially the 1976 Rosebud one. "The Chain" is also one that they would jist kill live. If you want a sample of amazing, amazing playing on an acoustic guitar, check out "Never Going Back Again". See...I'm leading you towards realizing who the real star of that band was. It's not Stevie. She's a good role player and wrote a few great songs. Buckingham was the force that made these guys get huge though and is the only one who has aged well as a performer.
