Erik won Swedish Idol 2009. He was The lead singer in H.E.A.T for 10 years. Then he fought and won a battle against leukemia. He joined skid row in 2022 (when He auditioned for Idol he did Skid Row 's18 and life). He just left the band, now focussing on a book and KZread. He is an amazing singer but also person, humble and so genuine, very committed to his fans. Supernice guy!

I only got to know Erik through working with Dan Vasc. He is a Swedish rock and metal singer. Erik recently left the band Skid Row as a singer for health reasons. Previously he sang with H.E.A.T. Thank you for introducing this fantastic artist.

@@setonhillstudios He started his KZread channel because of his leukemia 2021, you can see that he has no hair in the beginning. And he left Skid Row because of his health.

Erik is phenomenal! I found him on Dan Vasc's channel (Check out Dan and Erik's cover of "Breaking The Silence" (H.E.A.T). Erik's story is pretty amazing.

I'm happy you love Erik!! He's one of my absolute favorite singers, but also a very kind human. Enjoy the rabbit hole of his songs, his voice incredible, he really is such a powerhouse! He won Swedish Idol in '09, his performance of Hey Jude from that is really special to me. He had a great song in the televised Jesus Christ Superstar with John Legend a few years back. And he's been the lead singer of both H.E.A.T. and Skid Row! H.E.A.T.'s a great band, I highly recommend checking them out if you want to hear more of his rock stuff (Address the Nation is my favorite overall album when Erik was their frontman)! Some of his recent covers have been incredible, Dream On by Aerosmith was phenomenal (didn't know anyone could hit the Steven Tyler screams like Steven Tyler until this, haha), Chandelier by Sia was great, so was his latest Numb by Linkin Park! :)

Erik did such an amazing cover of this song and the sax is perfect. Dolly Parton wrote this song and first recorded it. It is beautiful also however Erik did more the Whitney version that she recorded for the Bodyguard movie. Dolly made a lot of money when Whitney recorded her song❤. I never knew about Erik Grönwall either, until I stumbled upon his video singing #IWillAlwaysLoveYou just this past weekend. Since then, I found out he won, I think it's the foreign version of (American) Idol in 2009. Then he was the lead singer for Skid Row for about 2-3 years. But had to leave the band bcoz he was diagnosed with cancer. He chose to prioritize his health & well-being. Hopefully he's doing much better since.

I was thinking you'd already done this one last week. Glad you've done it now. Erik is one of my very favorite singers. I heard him the first time, singing "Breaking the Silence" with Dan Vasc. I see that others have already mentioned that song. Hoping you will react to it, soon! 😀His last name is pronounced: GROWN' vall (as in "fall"). After watching "Breaking the Silence," I watched other new videos wherein Erik collaborated with other artists, then I was keeping up with him being on tour last year, when he suddenly got hit by a TON of illnesses (which are explained in the following paragraph). I looked down through the comments, and have only seen one other person mention that Erik (for the past couple of years) had been fighting leukemia. If you start looking at Erik's channel, from a few years back, you'll see how he started looking more and more haggard. Then, just a little over a year ago, he got a bone marrow implant, which has made a HUGE difference. He is now pronounced "cured," but because of the implant, he is just beginning to get new immunities.
