Whatever he's doing, bottom line is that Eminem spanked MGK so hard that he had to change genres. Also, in this case, "pop punk" really just means "pop music with MGK poorly playing guitar." There's nothing actually punk about anything he's doing (unless you count his mall/Hot Topic version of "punk fashion," which no right thinking person every would).

“Here’s that autograph for your daughter, I wrote it on a starter cap...” This lyric is a reference to his song, ‘Stan’. Em is trying to say to MGK, “Remember, your daughter is more of a Eminem fan than a fan for you.” It is also Em’s way of saying to MGK that it doesn’t make sense how he would diss Em, considering the fact that MGK has always idolized him. So therefore, Em calls MGK a Stan. Which brings us to the next line... “Stan, Stan, son, listen, man, Dad isn’t mad, but how you gonna (‘Gunna’ as in MGK’s nickname he gave himself) name yourself after a damn gun and have a MAN BUN?!” Em is basically saying to him to MGK, “You are MY SON! I OWN you! I paved the path for rappers like you, and there wouldn’t be a Machine Gun Kelly without Eminem.” Em is also trying to say that the name MGK gave himself isn’t a great name choice because Em doesn’t find him intimidating at all.

Mad respect man! I just posted my usual Killshot comment on this video and started looking through the comments. You've done a fantastic job breaking this track down and explaining certain references! I commented what I came up with after Killshot was dropped and have it saved as a Word document, to refer back to so I can copy and paste it. It got obnoxious after the first few videos I commented on! Lol This track is so complex and layered. Em is just so damn talented and so fun to listen to. On the album song floor 13 MGK talks about having Deja Vu mocks a historical king Constantine about not using a razor. That was after Killshot. MGK took 7 shots at Eminem. So in Deja Vu the song. By Eminem , Eminem says Hailie is upset with Eminem for not shaving his Beard/ Eminem says he’s controlled by the Devil who is talking in his ear all the time and Eminem is trying to autograph hats and Hailie is talking \to him but he can’t hear her because His Son The Devil. (That and Rap God are why it’s called Rap Devil) is always haunting him.

@@meganlynn83 I corrected Andrew again. It’s about Eminem’s song Deja Vu as well. The Devil will always talk to Eminem as it’s his Son. And he can’t hear Hailie. Ever. Hailie is also upset that Eminem won’t shave his Beard that’s Weird.

Cottonelle!” Em references his old diss track targeted towards Benzino, “Nail In The Coffin”, saying that MGK failed miserably trying to get Em’s number and defeat him. He also disses Joe Budden, former member of Shady Records group Slaughterhouse, for always savagely critiquing and trashing Em’s post-“MMLP2” music without actually hearing it.

This actually ended MGK's rap career.

Mgk actually released two rap albums after this neither was very successful hence why nobody really talks about them, he's now moved into the rock/metal genre where he's doing his very best to fail there as well by starting beff with metal giants slipknot where mgk was at a rock/metal festival with slipknot while mgk was on stage slipknot started their set on another stage and a lot of the crowed started to leave his set to go see slipknot he got pissed and called the band old and weird for wearing masks and then later on he said he removed slipknot's lead singers verse from one of his song because it was shit to which Cory Taylor (slipknot's lead singer) responded with receipts that it was in fact his decision to pull his own verse off mgk's song because he didn't like being told how to write his verse, mgk is a world class clown

The “as long as I’m shady he’s gonna have to live in my shadow” line just does it for me.
