This is my favourite movie of Elvis’s. This movie King Creole just proves what a brilliant actor Elvis really was. I’ve been an Elvis fan for 65yrs .I was 24yrs old when Elvis passed away. This is amazing. Elvis did an updated, live version of this to open his 1968 Comeback Special. He sings live, so it’s more raw and raspy. But this is from King Creole, arguably Elvis’ best movie. It’s definitely worth a watch. His acting is great in it. His early films were all great.

The film is called King Creole - 1958 (his 4th film). He acted in 31 films between 1956 and 1969. King Creole is my favorite. There are a lot of good performances this film. 😊

Caruso was the name of a famous opera singer in that day's , so it was meant in an ironic way when Elvis was introduced as Caruso, because his name was Danny in " king creole"

Did anyone knew that if "KING CREOLE" was filmed in a more serious manner, meaning not a single song sung, it was a hell of an OSCAR time bomb. ELVIS, as both the media and the fans declares, could have romped up multiple awards. And that underscoring the BEST PICTURE and the BEST ACTOR plum for THE KING himself, ELVIS, the PELVIS. He started off as a very promising actor and the industry/ his manager just ruined it! They kept putting him those corny comedies....always surrounded by girls of course. The best part about those movies was when he sang! The first few movies he was in before he was drafted into the army.....were really good like this one.... King Creole!

Elvis' s first movies were good.. his manager, horrible man, Parker, when Elvis came home from the service had Elvis contracted to do crap movies. sad...We can't change the past but I think Elvis would have done so much more without Colonel Parker.. who was btw never a Colonel.
