He is tall at 6'3". Athletic, kind, honest, compassionate, giving, honorable, of high moral standards and you will often see him walking through an airport, surrounded by fans and someone will hold out their baby or small child and he gladly wraps it in his arms and carries it around as he says hi to everyone. “SOS” is from a rock opera from Quebec 1978. It’s about suicide and depression. The singer finds his mate dead from suicide, and closes her eyes, hence the last sentence, “Sleep, Child, sleep.” IMHO, Dimash sings it far better than anyone else ever has. Thanks for your reaction! I could tell many times you wanted to speak, but held it in. ❤ Yes, the most amazing voice in the universe! So many people feel his voice grabs their heart and soul and send them into the stratosphere! ❤

Oh, and he is now Dr. Qudaibergen. He completed his doctoral studies in the spring of 2023. All three of his degrees are in music. He is a genius. You may find him singing Opera with ease and grace, paying musical tribute to Michael Jackson doing a cheeky 007 type video or making Fredy Mercury look even better. He often mixes Opera and Contemporary in one song. His current octave range is above 7 octaves as he can sing deep bass up to notes past the treble piano keyboard. His vocal works are stunning no matter what Genera he sings in.

This song is special and has a lot of history. It's the song he performed on the Chinese television show "Singer" (2017, season 5), a competition show that put him in the global spotlight. In 2017, Dimash was the first contestant on stage for the TV show "I Am Singer 2017". He was an unknown 22 year old man from Kazakhstan (formally part of USSR until their liberation in 1991), who went on the Chinese singing show and sang a French song. He was a "wildcard" contestant, but this made him an overnight success after over 600,000,000 people in China saw the broadcast, and it started his worldwide career. The 500 member audience are all professionals in the music industry, and are the judges for the show. Dimash had 1 week to learn the English to sing this song. The people you see backstage are the other contestants. For this show, the singers had to be invited to participate. The rules of the show made it so that the winner had to be Chinese, but after 2017, they changed the rules. Dimash didn't need the win though, he just needed the opportunity.

Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show.
