I totally agree as I was also born in the 40’s. The very first time I heard him sing, I immediately thanked God that I had lived long enough to experience and totally appreciate this once in a hundred years voice (at the very least, once in a generation). ❤❤❤❤❤

Dimash performed this song at the 2019 "A Gift for Alla" Concert celebrating the 70th anniversary of Alla Pugacheva in Moscow at the State Kremlin Palace. Dimash’s interpretation of this song is absolutely stunning, showcasing his unbelievable range as well as his exquisite control over the dynamics of the song. The arrangement with Igor at the piano and the string orchestra in the background is both lush and elegant like most of Igor’s compositions. What a wonderful birthday present for Alla and the rest of the audience and for us now!

His beloved Grandfather/Papa died earlier this week. This was the grandfather and of course Grandmother who solely until age 10 when the entire family moved in together. This is a Kazak tradition for a first born son. Dimash and his Father, (Kanat) led the carrying of the death cot which had long wooden handles. on it. Papa taught Dimash to play chess, to pray, to speak blessings and to be an upright man. He was in his 80's. No matter the age, it is a blow to Dimash and the family.

This was a cover of Igor Krutoy's song premiered in 1990 or so by the great and only ALLA PUGACHOVA, a storm of passion on the stages, the Prima donna of Russia who standed her gound against Putin about the Russian invasion to Ukraine. They performed at the "A gift for Alla." concert for the anniversary of Alla Pugacheva in Moscow 5:40 This was the first time most people heard his, now, well known angelic melismas that were called his “MariahCareys” or his “avemarias” by non music specialised reactors. I guess that later evolved in his own version of “Ave Maria”
