I'd had hopes of her coming here, and of being able to see her perform live. She belongs in Carnegie Hall! And, of course, I am not permitted to travel to her country. It would be awesome if she came to a neutral country, such as Mexico. I would go there! Russia is not my enemy.

I agree. Diana is humble and down-to-earth. I hope she always remains so. Beautiful person as well as a beautiful talent. This song was written back in the 90s and I believe it is describing the economic/political/cultural struggles that those times were for Russia.

В 97 году я ходила на работу и слушала в наушниках Линду. Есть альбом. Ворона - это как образ Линды. Её приглашали в Америку для записи альбома вместе с автором этих песен Максом Фадеевым, но было условие: выучить английский. Однако, Линда поленилась что-то учить и всё провалилось. Но... шум остался. И буквально после этой истории с Линдой-вороной выходит клип Мадонны, где она на фоне пустыни в образе вороны. Вот кто молодец!!! Быстро застолбила эту идею. НЕ проворонила, так сказать. Мораль: не ленись и будет тебе счастье! А надо сказать - жаль, Линда после этого исчезла с радаров. А ведь её исполнение было очень захватывающим!

+Diana was the youngest and most "inexperienced" artist on this TV series and they would continually tell her to explore genres and try new things. Her interpretation of "The Crow" by Linda really brought out how she is seen as a "White Crow" (same reference to a "Black Sheep," in the West, in this context). In her performance you see her singing at the "bottom" and then working her way up and shooing the other crows away (who are all alike) as she is depicted as different and special. The comments by the other artists after her performance shed a bit of light on this as well. Not only did Diana do the cover by Linda justice she altered the meaning by dressing in all white so the other artists could "catch her drift" in her special interpretation of this depiction/cover. Very clever, meaningful and put her own spin on the song and its applicable meaning to this TV show as well. Great reaction! Nothing is quite like Diana's performances. Keep them coming.
