I agree 100%. If you're on a level where other instrumentalists admire your work. Then it's worth the effort.

Drummer here, i wouldnt say there is one person who is the best drummer ever. It could be said that Danny Carrey is the best drummer with time signatures period... ever. I have seen some drummers that can do stuff with their feet and move faster than anyone i ever heard. But, doesnt mean they can count and handle the time signiatures that Danny can. Hopefully this makes sense :)

Poly rhythms in the middle are just wrong it's like he has two brain's.. He's in my top 5. Rolling stone magazine have him top 20. They are wrong.. And it's not just how skilled he is. It's tool as a whole together. They are a bit out there and trippy. But friggin brilliant. Try some Gojira my friend.. I would not put you wrong.. 🤘
