I thought this song would never get reviewed as it is a deep cut. One of my favorites. Thanks!

Sweet Jesus I haven't heard this since I was in Nam, I am being flooded with emotions. The drummer was the spittin image of my departed brother...RIP Calvin

I think you didn't notice the subtle changes in the final part. It wasn't solely repeating and it has a lovely mesmeric quality.

Wow, I've never heard this one before. Loved it! CCR has such a unique sound. They play harder and more aggressive than the Brits I usually love. Also love listening to John Fogarty, great southern blusey rocking sound.

The very best jam by Creedence for me, this tune goes hard and does not let up. Great tune & Refill the bong for this one! For another, do Susie Q, John Forgery in hypnotic Rock Shaman mode. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎶

Hey man, check out their song Hideaway (Wish I Could). It's such an emotional song about noticing that someone else is suffering, perhaps on the verge of suicide, and asking them is there anything you can do to help. It's musically brilliant and the whole thing just packs this emotional punch, and yet it's beautiful as well.

There is not a bad song on this entire record! I read an article that said the drummer Doug Clifford aka Cosmo would stay in the studio on his lunch break and smoke. The rest of the band came back and they said man there’s more smoke in here than a factory, and I think John said yeah it’s cosmos factory! I’ve loved them since I was a kid, check out Effigy next!

The middle section was repetitive but not on a loop. Each section had something built on top of it that was different from the section before it. It built up in variations that were all unique if you listen closely. It is almost hypnotic.

CCR didn't do long jams ordinarily (Suzie Q and I Put A Spell On You were exceptions), they were known for the opposite, cranking out 3 minute made-for-AM-radio masterpieces, one after another. I agree, the extended part of this didn't seem to be going anywhere. I still like it anyway because it's Credence and therefore righteous despite its excesses

Strong disagreement about the instrumental being too long. Sometimes a jam just sounds great and you want to let it wash over you and just enjoy it. And there's a sense of momentum that just builds up and you have to let it play out to its full length.

So many hidden gems and deep cuts on those albums. This is one of those. You barely hear them on reaction channels. Great choice! You're right about the solo section though. He could have done better on that. But their first (debut) album is full of extensive and creative solos. Unfortunately as they grew more popular Fogerty limited their output to 2 or 3 minute songs. He was an excellent lead guitarist though. ""Keep On Chooglin" is such a great jam with extended guitar and harmonica solos.
