I'm a big fan of these women. I very much enjoyed their last album, "Slow Burn". The Canadian, Sam, has a day job at the online drum site Drumeo, which is the group that named Paulina as Rock Drummer of the Year. If you've seen the announcement on KZread, that was Sam making the announcement.

Yay! 🥰I was Kristen’s dog sitter (the blonde one) for like 6 years until I sadly had to quit when I adopted some cats and went into rescue lol. She’s so nice! We went to her wedding and met the band and I was in awe when I saw the drummer practicing one night. The talent is insane! My fav song from them is Messy and it’s more pop punk vibes.

Janel is the original screamer who recently stepped away from the band who has been with the band since the beginning in 2015. Madison is taking her place now as the screamer. Kia (like the car), is the lead vocalist. Kristen plays the lead/rhythm guitar. Izzy plays the lead/rhythm guitar. Sam plays the drums. They r an awesome band and I’ve been their fan since day one. Kristen and Izzy live in Michigan although Izzy is originally from the UK. Sam is from Canada. Kia is from Colorado. I don’t know where Madison is from.

@@torresilk4277 Madison Moon is was announced as the touring screamer. She's pretty good herself! But they're going to use backing tracks for bass though. i've been chatting with the band on their Discord

Yeah new person that is covering them on tour seems like a beast. Her vocals are nutty and super full sounding. I think it'll be good forthem

Yes Slow Burn is excellent and Janel will definitely be missed for her energy, screams and playing!

Cool sound. I like them. Very promising band. The lead vocalist is excellent.

Slow Burn was in my top 5 albums of the year in 2023.

Nice, liked dual vocals. and music.

siriusXM did another one of their songs called paralyzed which is really good. other than that, i would recommend chemicals though that is a music video which you stated you don't like. or if you want a real spin, they did a song with electric callboy which is a pop punk banger, which is quite ironic seeing as how both bands are quite heavy.

I'll be listening to more of them. Chemicals (Official) and they also have an Acoustic version too might be fun to explore the band further with.

Its their drummer (sam) thats from Canada btw.

I saw they are opening for The Warning on some of the European tour.

Hope Dead Pony were not treated as badly by the Warning Crew. The level of disrespect this Crew has for other artists is truly disgraceful.

Listened to one of their songs a year ago, it was fine but I didn't come back to check more. After knowing they're opening for TW I'm interested in listening more of them, overall it was an amazing song. The screaming vocals weren't my cup of tea but it's not a total issue for me. Btw Ash, I recommend you checking Chemicals, the song I listened to and that features an amazing guitar solo.

My first thought was it's Jinjer but w/two vocalists haha. Just found out about them touring w/TW this morning, know nothing about them but I did hear the bassist/screamer has left the band, don't know any details. Agree, this song is awesome, Ashlena! If their other songs are anywhere near this good I'll be thrilled.🤘

Not sure I’m seeing the match with The Warning. I mean good lead vocals and like the drummer, but the harsh vocals and lyrics getting crass just doesn’t match how DPA hold themselves.

@@ashlenamusic Well……. there is no band just like them so……. 😉. I guess I’m saying a “match with” not “match of”. Just my first impression because DPA are generally so clean in their approach to everything, I was surprised when the harsh vocals when harsher - assuming that’s a style for them. Doesn’t offend me or anything, just so far from how The Warning presents themselves.

Everyone is different I love the emotion that a scream adds to a song. They are great live saw them with Electric Callboy in Montreal.

Yeah, kind of like Spiritbox. Courtney has an incredible voice and then the screaming starts. It's just kind of a turnoff. The only band I've heard where I liked the screaming was Linkin Park. Chester was the shit.

This is a real mismatch for The Warning. Not sure they've thought this through. Anyway, the song is ok. The screaming seems out of place.
