I've said it before and I'll say it again. Certain country songs, REAL Country, there's no other music genre that can make you feel something like it can. When it's done right, nothing like it in the world.

Rick, I just wanted to tell you I have been watching your videos with my daughter who is in her mid 20's for a month or more. We both love you a lot. Not just your reactions but the young man you are. Every time you cry, especially after losing you dad, this lady in her late 50's just wants to reach out and give you a great big bear hug. I've been known for my big bear hugs. I'm one of the fortunate ones that still have my dad so I am unable to comment on losing my dad. I have lost a lot of my relatives the first was my grandma on my dads side when I was 2. By the time I was 17 or 18 I had lost all my grand and great grand parents along with some aunts, uncles, and even cousins. Now I only have 1 great aunt and 1 aunt, no uncles, but do have cousins and great cousins still. I've also lost my best friends family with her. For decades her parents were my other parents and her sister was mine as well. So I know the pain of losing a loved one. It does take time to get over the initial pain and sadness but it will get better in time. Each loss will be different and can bring on different reactions for you. Please never lose your tenderness, your honesty, and your compassion. Brother, you are a gift from God to us all. I pray you have a blessed life always. I love you, my brother in Christ.

I feel so alone i lost my Daddy 9 yrs ago. and My son took his own life i held him as he was dying the ambulance came to late. I feel a lot of guilt because i couldn't save him i begged him to stay with me but he didn't they had to literally wrestle with me i couldn't let go of my sweet boy he slipped away and all i could do is watch him die. awesome reaction. but i know i will see them again love never loses it's way home. Prayer's and Love to you and your family from the one and only Memphis Tn. If any of you don't know Elvis was my friend of 10 yrs. our time together is tucked safe in my heart forever. i will love and miss him forever.

You're a beautiful person. I am truly sorry for your loss. My mom passed away when i was 16. I'm 46 now. I miss her every day. I've cried a lot. I still sometimes do. I put my life on hold for many many years by looking back & not forward. I still struggle with this. Dont be me ;-) You know, the last thing they'd want is for us to be sad. They'd want us to live the life they gave us; & the life they cant. Easier said than done, i know. But im still here, still trying. And so are you! Hang in there, you're not alone in your pain. It will lessen with time. Love you brother, reach out if you ever need an ear or a hug.- We're here ❤❤❤🙏

I lost my dad unexpectedly on October 31, 2018...my dad was a mechanic for about 40 years. He taught me not only how to work on cars but how to be a man. There are many things he taught me without using words, he lead by example. I miss my dad like crazy everyday but through the Death and Resurrection of Christ Jesus, I will be reunited with all my family who died believing in Christ! God Bless you brother and I pray you find peace in Jesus!

RICK thanks for this song. I knew it from before but so needed it now. We should all take that chance and let people that touches our lives let them know even if it is a thank you or smile to someone. To the world you may be just one person but to one person you may just be world. I lost my dad and brother in a car accident on my birthday. I missed getting to see him at the assisted living my mom was in by 15 minutes and hadn't seen him in two years. He had left me a hundred dollars for my birthday with my mom and told her to tell me to come see him the next day or at least call him. Fifteen minutes after she told me we were told that he and my brother were gone. Tell people you love them or how sorry you .... Take a chance .. ❤❤❤

But if you want a beautiful song, that can help heal your heart, you need to watch Carrie Underwood featuring Vince Gill - live version - How Great Thou Art. It is a hymn and absolutely beautiful. I hope it gives you some peace and healing in your heart.

Thank you for sharing this and for showing your vulnerability. Words cannot adequately express the sorrow I feel for your loss. Please know there are so many people who are here and sending their love. You mentioned you still have messages from your father. My mother passed on 6 years ago on her 90th birthday, and I still have one of the last voice messages she left me (because I was too busy to talk to her). My friend has since preserved it for me in a digital file so I can listen to it whenever I need to hear her voice tell me she loves me without fear of Verizon or me deleting it. I know she loved me and still does, but there's nothing like hearing it in her own voice. So, from this old lady to you, save those messages even if it's too hard to read or listen to them now. One day you'll be glad you did. Sending you big hugs. 🤗
