Another masterpiece written by Barry Gibb
Barry Gibb and the BeeGees wrote an entire album for her and Barry duetted with her on this eponymous track. There’s video of her performing this with Barry and it’s very HOT🔥
And Barry & Robin wrote this song from a woman's point of view.. which gave "Woman in Love" just that little extra touch..
❤The Bee Gees are singing the backup vocals that you hear.
this is one of the THE most difficult songs to sing! No one can sing it like Barbara! The bee gees are singing in the background! this song has insane layers of difficulty! She makes it sound unreal!
Barbra is the best-of-the-best...!!!
An “honorary” EGOT winner (won Tony Award for Best Actress of the 1960s), she is now retired from singing, but was an absolute powerhouse singer in her day. Combined with her acting talent in movies like The Way We Were, A Star Is Born, Nuts, she was a double threat.
I think before Whitney, before Celine, Barba Streisand was considered the best female voice around. It is incredible.

What about Aretha?
Never mind her, give credit to Barry Gibb bc those lyrics are like no other- he is the true legend
The song was released in August 1980 and was her biggest hit here and around the world.
That voice can bring me to tears 😭 Like ugly cry tears!
Evergreen from A Star Is Born
She is unique. No one else like her.
They did do two duets together. They did "Guilty" and "What Kind of Fool".♥👍💋🔥👏
Absolutely one of the greatest female vocalist ever, Women In Love Written by the legendary brothers the Bee Gees in 1980 , Barry Gib from the Bee Gee has a duet with Barbara Streisand, great reaction thanks 🙏
"What Kind Of Fool" and "Guilty" are duets with Barry Gibb

@@gaylaliles4095 I think I'm in the minority, but I don't particularly care for the live versions from One Voice. I think it's because the studio versions were so expertly produced by Barry, that I find the live versions pale in comparison. And I rarely say that about Barbra. (For example, Live Concert at the Forum is one of my favorites from her massive catalog).
This was the number 1 hit in the country, the day I was born.11/6/80
Barbra Streisand is one of the true mega stars. She has spanned over 6 decades of music. This lady has a fabulous voice & can sing many genres of music. She is a singer, actress & filmmaker & one of the few performers to have received awards in multiple fields of entertainment (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony). Love the musicals she was in especially "Funny Girl" & "Hello Dolly". She has so many great songs that were hits & she has done numerous duets with famous people.
I am thrilled to see people fall in love with the gift that is Barbra Streisand. I takes me back to being a teen and hearing her music in the 70s.. I was hooked and gobbled up every new album and movie. I am blessed to have seen her in concert 5 times. She is an actress, singer, song writer, director and so much more. As an activist Barbra has long suported causes since the 60s including civil rights, gay rights, women's rights, human rights, the environement and much much more. You seem to be doing Barbra reactions with regular frequency. If you did just one song a month, starting with her first album, and do it from a successive album each month after from each of her studio albums.. it would take over three years! To listen to her entire catalog non stop of studio albums takes a day and half. IF you add the many soundtracks, concert and compilation albums would take over 48 HOURS!! Thank you again for your reactions. I am glad I discovered your channel and look forward to many more Barbra reactions.
You are welcome 🎉 Babs is the OG GOAT👑💕👑💕👑🥰
Yes, she can sustain a beautiful long note. In "Evergreen" she holds one for 18 counts. Displaying her lovely vibrato.

Watch the recording session of Make our garden grow she holds a powerful 23 second note at the end it’s pretty unbelievable.
Barry was known even as a teen for being able to custom write for anyone in any genre. Without trying, he instinctively analyzes their style, range, and ability, and writes custom writes songs that that take the talent to its limits.... making working with Streisand a dream, because her abilities are incredible. Robin worked on this one with him. The whole album is great, with this and her two duets with Barry bring the standout favorites. To make things even better, Barry released his demos for the album, in case you want to hear him sing about being a woman in love. The album was unbelievably successful. Please react to GUILTY and WHAT KIND OF FOOL. They sang both live at a fundraiser she had that are excellent. React to GUILTY first, then to WHAT KIND OF FOOL.
Some have said she's the greatest star. You should definitely definitely definitely watch the video of her duetting with herself on One Less Bell to Answer/A House is Not a Home because she kills it.

She is by far..... but no one knows it.....
Loved your reaction, and boy are you in for the ride of your life. This woman's career is without equal. The only recording artist to debut an album at #1 in SIX consecutive decades!! She's unique in every possible way. Barry Gibb actually wrote two albums' worth of songs for Barbra. This album was the first and there are two terrific duets on it with Barry..."Guilty" and "What Kind of Fool." Try to watch the live versions of these two during Barbra's "One Voice" concert. Barbra has performed duets with literally dozens of the best singers from yesterday to today... from Judy Garland to Ariana Grande... from Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett to Johns Legend and Mayer. One of the most iconic duets though is one with Donna Summer, "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)"...a Disco number that was a huge hit; check out the longer version which was a staple in Disco clubs back in the day. Bottom line is this woman can sing anything. And she's quite a terrific actress too, both drama and comedy. Like I said... you're in for a helluva ride.

I've been listening to her since the 1960's, she's a powerful singer
Goosebumps ❤
You can't go wrong with Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb. Loved loved the song and the "Guilty" album in 1980 and 1981 when it played on the radio all the time I still love it! Love Barry's background vocals.

Just to be clear, Barry is not singing backing on this. The backing singers are : Denise Maynelli, Myrna Mathews and Marti McCall. I have to admit that in the beginning of getting into the Bee Gees music I also thought barry was backing this one. But I now think the sound is coming out like that because it was the producer team of Barry Giib, Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson that produced this album. But sure enough, Barry was singing on the album, eg on the 2 duets Guilty and What Kind Of Fool.

Please watch the live version of her and Barry Gibb singing What Kind of Fool. You will be blown away! From the same album as this one.
The GOAT! No one compares!
She has been called "God's bell", and she sure knows how to ring that voice. "Evergreen" is a beautiful love song, and several songs from "Yentl", like "Papa Can You Hear Me?", "Piece of the Sky" and "Will Someone Ever Look at Me That Way?" are particularly momentous.

"Will Someone Ever Look At Me That Way" is a gem. It's one of my favorite scenes in "Yentl", capturing her sad realization that the love that flows between the three main characters will never flow in the direction she longs for.
Love the moves Stan!..Barbara is the best of the best and quite possibly the most talented female singer and actress of all time. Funny, beautiful witha killer voice it is a quite possibly a crime to be so so good
She’s the best of the best…incomparable!!!
Many of her songs don't even display her full talent. Ck out ones from her major movies... A Star is Born; Yentyl; Funny Girl; and Funny Lady. She'll blow you away.
Barbra's voice is a true God given Gift, she is Timeless, great reaction 🙂
Barbra is very versatile. You’ll love “Prisoner” “Guilty” (duet with Gibb), “Evergreen“, “The Way We Were”, “One Less Bell/House is Not a Home” (video version). Also “Crying Time” with Ray Charles! So many!! When you’ve had a career like hers there is so much to enjoy.
You need to hear “Since I Fell For You” by her.
Neil n Babs went to Erasmus Hall HS in Brooklyn NY....he was senior she was freshman....
We loved her for a reason... 😂 Her personal movie, Yentl which she Directed, ends with a song called 'A Piece of Sky' where she really opens up & lets it rip. & OMG... The song is 40 years old & in those 40 years the number of singers that have sang it & come anywhere close to her version can be counted on one hand.
Love that we can see the your reaction by your expressions only without pausing and speaking. ❤
It's never too late!
Barry produced the whole album and all the songs were written either by him or him with Robin. You need to check out Guilty duet between Barbra and Barry

I HIGHLY recommend. A Piece of Sky from her movie. Yentel... the note she hits at the end is unbelievable
This song is a classic!
You're really fun to watch.
As you were listing other artists to explore at the end of the video, the first name that came to my mind that you should definitely check out is Eva Cassidy. She will blow you away also. She had a much to short of a career due to her untimely death from cancer, but she made the most of every minute she had. Definitely check her out as she is an artist that refused to be boxed into any genre. I can sing just about anything and make it sound like an angel is singing it.
Yaaaaas
Somebody mentioned "Prisoner". It's a rocker and not typically on Streisand's beaten path. She's so versatile the list of recommendations is endless. Pop, jazz, disco... Her duets with Ray Charles and Donna Summer are exceptional.

@@whostosay3256 Her voice in the 70s was deeper and it's power "fuller" to me. And when she did her crossover and started singing pop-rock, her "sense of soul began to match her sense for the dramatic" I didn't say that, but a reviewer of her 70's music did and I thought it was spot-on. I think "Prisoner" is a good example of that.
One if not the best vocalists ever and the notes. Listen to End of “Piece of Sky” or “On A Clear Day”. The last notes are unbelievable.
Great reaction. Try „Tell him“ a duet with Celine Dion. Mindblowing!

There are old performances of a very young Barbra on the Judy Garland Show singing together, two all time greats and Barbra said that Judy Garland was her musical idol. Then 20 years later, Celine Dion came along and said she felt the same way about Barbra, and casually suggested they should do a song sometime and Barbra said, OK, let's make that happen. You should react to Celine and Barbra singing Tell Him, written and arranged for them by David Foster.

Papa Can You Hear Me from Yentl with video from the movie us incredible. Her “ Somewhere” from West Side Story is the best version of this song.

Olivia had a lovely voice, but wasn't half the vocalist of Streisand.
We all know Streisand is a megastar and an extraordinary vocalist. My only quibble with her is that she attributes her high notes and long-held notes to a personal will and spirituality. Which is a lot of nonsense! There is an actual singing technique where you fill your diaphragm and focus a steady stream of air to resonate in the hard palate and just behind the nose. Opera singers study this for years. Streisand was born with a perfect working technique, but her claim to God’s will is a little silly.
