Reacting to their initial individual performance videos and their introduction videos is a MUST. They will blow your mind. I cant wait until you hear Asa rap. Youre going to lose it.

YG has monthly evaluations for their trainees. Each month they have three stages: solo song, group song, and group dance. They evaluate them on a few things like where they need to improve or where they would like to see them grow. There are a few reason that they do this but it is also to prepare the trainees for handling the stress that they will have when becoming an idol and debuting. So the video was from them when they first auditioned to their last evaluation. The song was written about their journey and determination to push through the tough time and achieve a goal. Individually, each one is very talented and unlike other group in K-pop where you have a main and lead in a category, I don't think that you have the same thing here. All of them can sing but you do have 5 that could be considered main vocalist. Currently, three of them can rap and the youngest member is learning to rap right now. Two of them could be considered main rapper. All of them can dance but two of them you could call main dancers but they all have that certain YG swag when dancing. I would suggest starting with the live performances first then moving on to the introduction videos. The live performance videos are on the YG channel and not on the BABYMONS7ER channel. This will get you familiar with each member. The you could watch the 'Last Evaluation' episode to see their journey. If you are going to watch the last evaluation episodes then I would skip the cover videos since it is already in the last evaluation.

They're trained under YG Entertainment and mentored by BLΛƆKPIИK themselves. They are a force to be reckon soon.😊

BabyMonster is an upcoming South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment. Not a competition show. It’s the standard YG ( K-pop) training process where they go in for 2-5 yrs of training and the best survive and debut. (Same as Blackpink backstory) just they filmed the last few months and made the last evaluation on KZread. Asa and Ruka are the Japanese rappers your going to love them.

Blackpink's sisters are AMAZING, they will not be embarrassed Blackpink as sisters and role models. They also have the 'IT' or 'X' factor.

While not technically a survival show, yes there is a *show* called "The last Evaluation" on their youtube channel. 8 episodes long roughly 18 minutes long each. + many other videos like i mentioned where you can see their audition, several monthly evaluations, interviews with them reflecting their experience as trainees at YG and much more. They started from YG audition (same like BlackPink), and went through the monthly evaluation process (that you sometimes heard mentioned from BlackPink videos). Only difference is that BABYMONSTER's journey is better documented than BlackPink's. I guess YG learned many things from nurturing BlackPink, and decided to get as many fans as possible by getting us invested in BABYMONSTER right from their trainee days. You can watch their individual introduction and then the "Last Evaluation" series (8 parts) leading to the final selection. The pre-debut song came after they were announced. Also they dropped a dance performance video last week dancing to JLo's "Jenny from the block". You might wanna check that one out too.

Basically Blackpink's contract for 7 years was due to renew, and generally the company will debut a new group even if they renew contract as a new generation of group and that's where Babymons7er comes in. They are YG's next generation girl group and Blackpink's junior. Head over to YG channel and check out the Live performance #1-7, then the introduction of the members, then finally Last Evaluation. Last Evaluation was originally teased as a survival show where YG's CEO would whittle down the 7 members that was introduced and pick the best composition for the final lineup. I will let you watch the rest without spoiling too much.

I think you would really enjoy there videos where they sing covers( introduction videos). It was they way they were introduced to us. YG then publish introduction videos for each member followed by "Last valuation" which will show you the YG training program and will determine which of the members will debut as Babymonster.
