I’m just glad I’m not the only one who likes Angerfist over here. I’m a 54 yr old female and no one I know even knows what I am talking about. Bad mood… listen to Angerfist… 50 decibels. Just my fix.

As someone who has been part of that scene since the mid 90s, I have to say that I don't particularly like Angerfist. The only track they ever made that I could stomach was called "Little Elfs". I think I'm just a sucker for the heavier stuff and apart from that one track, Angerfist isn't it. Give me Hellfish vs The DJ Producer and I'll be bouncing until early in the morning... @WolfHunterz: check out their '98 track "No More Rock 'n' Roll (Koala Fish Mutant Bird Mix)". With a song title like that, you can't go wrong...

If yous wanna take a deep dive into the OGs of Hardcore than Rotterdam Terror Corps is the perfect starting point. The genre called "Gabber" is basically the original style that Hardcore was birthed from. Not to be confused with Happy Hardcore. Also Hardstyle came decades after Gabber and Hardcore were established.

I drove home from work with this track one day and i got a notification on my smart watch saying ”abnormal heart rythm detected”. 😂

I recommend starting with the classic sounds of Terrordrome, Thunderdome, Gabberbox, Mokum. Then you can understand what hardcore, speedcore, darkcore, happy hardcore, breakcore, terrorcore, industrial hardcore, acidcore, frenchcore.

Side Note: Hardcore relies HEAVILY on Rap and Movie vocal samples. Namely gangster movies and Eminem/Hip-Hop lyrics. Oh also the crowds are HUGE for Hardcore festivals. Dominator is the name of the major yearly Hardcore festival. The style of EDM goes deep! Counterfeit and Negative A are two of my fav. harder producers. They got that heavy industrial influence on top of it all.

it does not HEAVILY rely on rap tho. quite a few songs use it yes but it's not reliant on it

Well, Angerfist never made Hardstyle. This is Hardcore ... sounds a softer variation of hardcore called frenchcore. Angerfist had some bangers but I can't see anything special about this track.

Yeah Angerfist in his later days is just reusing sounds and hooks. Basically just phoning it in these days. His live sets still kill though. Same with Evil Activities.
