My favorite one too. My grandpa and my dad used to let me drive their boat when I was a little kid. They taught me how to do it properly, and my grandpa would actually take a nap while I was at the helm. I also have three daughters and I remember letting them driving our boat when they were little. They had such a look of joy on their face. These are some of my favorite memories of my childhood and their childhood.

Alan is a great singer/songwriter. His catalog of songs includes many classic country hits. Another amazing tune by him is a tribute to the 9/11 terror attack, "Where were you, when the world stopped turning."

Very sadly, Alan & his wife recently revealed he’s facing some difficult health challenges ahead. I love this song & knowing now what they knew when he first wrote & sang it makes it even more touching. He also wrote a song for his daughters- Always Be My Baby- that is WONDERFUL. Other good ones to check out: ‘Sissy’s Song’ & ‘Drive’. Beautiful reaction, as always. Stay safe & love much💖

He has Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease or CMT (such a cruel irony😔). It’s an inherited nerve disorder that causes abnormalities in the nerves that supply your feet, legs, hands, and arms. It affects both motor and sensory nerves. Motor nerves carry signals from your brain to your muscles, telling them to move. Sensory nerves carry sensations, such as heat, cold, and pain back to your brain. CMT is considered a peripheral neuropathy because it affects nerves outside of your brain and spinal cord. It’s just so very sad😢

Watch the official music video, you'll see clips of family photos, and during the musical interlude his lovely wife Denise comes in and they dance together. This song moves me greatly every time I hear it. Alan Jackson is my favorite country artist. He is quite the story-teller in his songs. First song I saw him perform was "Home," where he tells the story of his parents starting out in life together. "And they made their house from a tool shed granddaddy rolled down on two logs..." - I was hooked!

They have since got counseling and are together stronger than ever. Alan is a Country music hall of Famer as well Opry legend--- a protigy of George Jones who were friends doing Jones' last yrs. And yes this is a very popular wedding song

I got to see Alan Jackson in concert at a local county fair. It was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. It was outside, it started to rain really hard, the band was covered for the most part except the edge where Alan was standing. He left the stage for a moment, came back on and he had changed his cowboy hat into a baseball cap. He said "If you all are going to stay and listen to me in the rain, then I am going to play for you. Just needed to change my hat." I swear, not one person left. He said his band just enjoys playing music and they love what they do.

Hi Mr. Boyd, I enjoy your reactions. This would probably make a great 50th wedding anniversary song. Alan Jackson is a great singer/songwriter, and one that I’d recommend checking out is “where were you when the world stopped turning” he wrote it for the september 11 attack on the world trade center, i believe he debuted the song at the grand ole opry. Thanks for the videos.

Alan is such a great songwriter and performer so I love a lot of what he does but what’s so special about this song to me is how it doesn’t candy coat the struggles people often go through. No one said marriage and raising kids is easy but man is it worth it! The song mentions how the start was hard and how life threw them some curves which happens. Also, how they’ll break each other’s hearts and hopefully bend but not break the marriage. How having kids can teach valuable lessons to the parents who have to let go of so much of themselves and put the kids first which often brings the parents closer even though the job of raising kids is one of the hardest yet most rewarding things they’ll ever do. It also talks about how our perceptions and values change as life moves on and how ultimately we’d do it all again, the struggles, the hurt, the broken trust, the rebuilt trust, the joy, and the love. It’s a masterpiece and now that I've been married for 18 years and have two wonderful kids this song means so much more to me. My favorite songs by the icon Alan Jackson are Remember When, Livin’ on Love, Where Were You, Small Town Southern Man, I’ll Try, Here in the Real World, Drive, She’s Got the Rhythm, The Older I Get, and Monday Morning Church.

If you want to hear pure Country married to Gospel Listen to Alan Jackson "Amazing Grace". Actually, both of his Gospel Albums are just awesome.

Wedding song? Some weddings I went to had a dance specifically for those married beyond so many decades. This would be a great song for that.
