My favorite one too. My grandpa and my dad used to let me drive their boat when I was a little kid. They taught me how to do it properly, and my grandpa would actually take a nap while I was at the helm. I also have three daughters and I remember letting them driving our boat when they were little. They had such a look of joy on their face. These are some of my favorite memories of my childhood and their childhood.

React to Alan's: "Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning" - it is about September 11th.

Home, Drive, Where were you when the world stopped turning are all good
Can't listen to this song without tearing up. It's that sentimental. I saw it on your face too.

It’s one of those songs. When you have a 40 year marriage that falls apart it can slay you. Beautiful soul of Alan Jackson.
Alan Jackson songs all have meaning to him. That's why I like him so much.
Alan is a great singer/songwriter. His catalog of songs includes many classic country hits. Another amazing tune by him is a tribute to the 9/11 terror attack, "Where were you, when the world stopped turning."
He considers himself just a simple songwriter but so much of his music is very emotional.
Yes you have to do Where were you when the world stopped turning.
You should listen to Alan's "Where were you " which is a summary of how we all reacted/felt "that Tuesday morning" (09/11/2001)
Very sadly, Alan & his wife recently revealed he’s facing some difficult health challenges ahead. I love this song & knowing now what they knew when he first wrote & sang it makes it even more touching. He also wrote a song for his daughters- Always Be My Baby- that is WONDERFUL. Other good ones to check out: ‘Sissy’s Song’ & ‘Drive’. Beautiful reaction, as always. Stay safe & love much💖

They found that he has a neurlogical problems
@howrued1500
2 жыл бұрын
He has Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease or CMT (such a cruel irony😔). It’s an inherited nerve disorder that causes abnormalities in the nerves that supply your feet, legs, hands, and arms. It affects both motor and sensory nerves. Motor nerves carry signals from your brain to your muscles, telling them to move. Sensory nerves carry sensations, such as heat, cold, and pain back to your brain. CMT is considered a peripheral neuropathy because it affects nerves outside of your brain and spinal cord. It’s just so very sad😢
Watch the official music video, you'll see clips of family photos, and during the musical interlude his lovely wife Denise comes in and they dance together. This song moves me greatly every time I hear it. Alan Jackson is my favorite country artist. He is quite the story-teller in his songs. First song I saw him perform was "Home," where he tells the story of his parents starting out in life together. "And they made their house from a tool shed granddaddy rolled down on two logs..." - I was hooked!
i'm not crying...YOU'RE CRYING!
Songs to listen to - Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning. Wanted Don’t Rock the Jukebox Here In the Real World I’ll Try Monday Morning Church Midnight In Montgomery Between the Devil and Me
Small Town Southern Man, or, Drive. Most all of Alan Jackson's songs are written by him. Fun, good-time songs include Chattahoochee, Chasin' That Neon Rainbow, Gone Country, or his duet with Jimmy Buffet, It's Five O'clock Somewhere. You can't go wrong with Alan Jackson!
He’s a legend. I absolutely love Alan Jackson. If you haven’t heard Murder on Music Row it’s him and George Straight
Where were you when the world stood still is a awesome song by him
I really appreciate your expression while taking in the music. This song manages to make both the joy and the pain beautiful. Now I’m crying lol ty for keeping me company *ETA disclaimer, I’m awake and alone because I’m in early labor for the last baby with my husband of 19 years. So maybe definitely anything would make me cry rn 🤣

In a more fun vein, when I think of Alan Jackson, I think of "It's Five O'clock Somewhere".
"Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning" by Alan Jackson.
We played this for my parents at their 50th anniversary. My mama loved Alan Jackson.
That time has come for them when the children grow up and move away. He wrote this when they were very young.
Trace Akins You Are Going To Miss This- made me cry.. reminded me of Daddy and I
You have to listen to his song called "where were you when the world stopped turning"
Alan wrote this song during a time he and his wife were separated briefly when Alan was tempted by the trappings of sucess and traveling on the road. They have since got counseling and are together stronger than ever. Alan is a Country music hall of Famer as well Opry legend--- a protigy of George Jones who were friends doing Jones' last yrs. And yes this is a very popular wedding song
Honestly probably my favorite song of all time
Alan Jackson is the master of storytelling in country IMHO, definitely country royalty!
He sings from his heart! He loved Cash, Haggard, Jennings, the good old country boys! Saw him on Lake Tahoe in 1992 my daughter turned 21. She shook his hand. I didn’t get a chance too. Love this guy!
I got to see Alan Jackson in concert at a local county fair. It was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. It was outside, it started to rain really hard, the band was covered for the most part except the edge where Alan was standing. He left the stage for a moment, came back on and he had changed his cowboy hat into a baseball cap. He said "If you all are going to stay and listen to me in the rain, then I am going to play for you. Just needed to change my hat." I swear, not one person left. He said his band just enjoys playing music and they love what they do.
Brings tears to my eyes every time...Thanks.
Alan Jackson - great songwriter and entertainer, but more importantly, a genuinely good man.
Alan Jackson is my all time favorite Male country singer. I like George strait, but Alan is my favorite for sure. I love all of his songs!
The richness in these male voices are from growing up in church. Look at the voices from the females that sang in church as a kid. So powerful and full.
My husband and I danced to this one on our 40th wedding anniversary.
The Older I Get is a great song!
Possibly his greatest song is chattahoochee
This song makes me cry every time I hear it. The actual video is so good. His wife is in it. You describing his voice is exactly the way way I feel about your voice... I think it's so soothing... I like his song Chattahoochee is fun....
Hi Mr. Boyd, I enjoy your reactions. This would probably make a great 50th wedding anniversary song. Alan Jackson is a great singer/songwriter, and one that I’d recommend checking out is “where were you when the world stopped turning” he wrote it for the september 11 attack on the world trade center, i believe he debuted the song at the grand ole opry. Thanks for the videos.
Alan is great. The older I get, Midnight in Montgomery
I'm on the back side of 80, back in my day when two people loved each other it wasnt about the sex like it is today. You felt like you were a part of that person, you felt their joy, you felt their pain, and yes love was so special you cried.
One of the top 5 country music artists of all time!
Man this song is the one. This was played at my wedding and will probably be played at my funeral one day.
Alan is such a great songwriter and performer so I love a lot of what he does but what’s so special about this song to me is how it doesn’t candy coat the struggles people often go through. No one said marriage and raising kids is easy but man is it worth it! The song mentions how the start was hard and how life threw them some curves which happens. Also, how they’ll break each other’s hearts and hopefully bend but not break the marriage. How having kids can teach valuable lessons to the parents who have to let go of so much of themselves and put the kids first which often brings the parents closer even though the job of raising kids is one of the hardest yet most rewarding things they’ll ever do. It also talks about how our perceptions and values change as life moves on and how ultimately we’d do it all again, the struggles, the hurt, the broken trust, the rebuilt trust, the joy, and the love. It’s a masterpiece and now that I've been married for 18 years and have two wonderful kids this song means so much more to me. My favorite songs by the icon Alan Jackson are Remember When, Livin’ on Love, Where Were You, Small Town Southern Man, I’ll Try, Here in the Real World, Drive, She’s Got the Rhythm, The Older I Get, and Monday Morning Church.
The older i get is a great song too
😭😭😭 just those opening notes have me near bawling!😤😤😤 So many of these songs I had forgotten about.
Beautiful song. I'm not a country & Western fan, but there are a handful of artists that I like and Alan Jackson is one of them.
My favorite Alan Jackson song is "I Still Like Bologna"
ALL.THE.FEELS. 🤗💕🤗
The actual video shows clips of them throughout life. It really helps get what he is saying across.
It’s a story of life, love and the pursuit of happiness. Events, trials and tribulations. It is a story about humanity, from beginning to end and how precious and short life is. Remember when?
Love Alan and he's a good man.
Alan Jackson!!! I’m for sure soft on 90’s country. Thanks grandma lol
Youll always be my baby and where were you when the world stopped turning by alan jackson are so good. Also midnight in Montgomery!
The Older I Get is an amazing song Alan wrote too.
You should listen to “Believe” by Brooks and Dunn, a beautiful story and an incredible voice
I really enjoy watching you listen to music you so are in it. Your looks on your face. Such a sweetness. Thanks 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Music video is amazing to this
He married his High school sweetheart! Wonderful!
Also Where Were You is a great song!!
Any song you listen to by him you won't be disappointed
A friend and former Co-writer of mine wrote "Walk on The Rocks" by Alan Jackson. You should do it. It's a great song.
Absolutely Love Alan Jackson!! Every song He has done! This one gives me *CHILLS* Every time! Don't rock the jukebox has to be one of my favorites when I use to go to the Honky Tonk's and 2 Step ..... Also Small Town Southern Man --- Summer Time Blues -- It's Five O' Clock Somewhere IS SO FUN -- Chattahoochee -- Midnight In Montgomery -- Gone Country -- Amarillo By Morning
Thus is my second favorite song by AJ. One of the few songs that just yank the tears out of my eyes everytime I hear it

I bet if you google what year this came out it will say next to it. Song most played at weddings. Cuz I promise it was. I still hear it at weddings. Great song. Really takes me back
Alan Jackson's Sissy's song is also a very touching song wrote by him.
Best country artist ever!
Alan Jackson Drive!!! It's a must
Cried with love and joy
It is very emotional when you have your first time, especially for females. It also, helps when the person you are with is someone you are deeply in love with and you feel like he is your forever. The tears are a mixture of emotions, but mostly overwhelming joy.
Another great song very similar to this one is there goes my life by Kenny Chesney. And if you like these really deep country songs I would highly recommend you check out moments by Emerson drive.
My favorite song by him is Stroll Over Heaven. It is very near and dear to me
I love this song and it always makes me cry. This is a great song.
Yes, we danced to this at our daughter’s wedding! “Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning?”

That’s a different song
Thank you for looking into Alan Jackson. It is great as a viewer to see first reactions to some of our country music artists we’ve enjoyed for so long. To see people hear their stories in song for the first time. I agree on maybe check out ‘Chatahoochie’ and when you can, look at ‘Where were you when the world stopped turning’ also by Alan Jackson. Enjoy the music journey!
You absolutely have to listen to his version of Blues man, it’s an absolutely amazing song!!!!
My wife and I have been married fifty two years, so this song has such deep feelings for me.
cried.. was that emotional for her!
This is the perfect song for anniversaries. --Lyssa WA, USA
One of my top 10 favorite songs. Listen to it a few times its phenomenal.
My husband sings this to me karaoke sometimes. It's soo sweet.
*A good tune for today is a song called " The Americans " by Byron Macgregor. It was written by a Canadian and is just as true today as when it was first recorded.*
One of my favorites of Alan’s. All of his songs are good. You need to check out Lonestar singing “I’m Already There.”
I could see in your face this one got to your spirit. I cannot listen to this song without recalling several family members, gone now, whose lives could befit this song. True love never dies and if you’re paying attention, it passes through generations of a family’s lives. Brilliant song. Great reaction.
Wow. What a great song. This took me back to my youth. You did a great job covering this song. Made me emotional.
Beautiful pure song
Perfect anniversary song
I love your reactions! These songs evoke so many emotions and usually make me cry 😢! Please continue with your reactions with so much feelings that we all have!
a very very simple humble man!
The wedding song is Randy Travis' " I'm Gonna Love You Forever and Ever "
Prayers for Alan❤
He is awesome.
Love that this brought a genuine smile to your face :) Can't beat country for a great story!
Amazing! Drive by Alan Jackson!
It's a beautiful song for his wife. Please look up the music video he did and watch and listed to it. It is a loving and touching video.
If you want to hear pure Country married to Gospel Listen to Alan Jackson "Amazing Grace". Actually, both of his Gospel Albums are just awesome.
Wedding song? Some weddings I went to had a dance specifically for those married beyond so many decades. This would be a great song for that.
This would be a great wedding anniversary song for a couple that has been married 25 plus years.
It's a song about the ups & downs of Life. Good & Bad, Happy & Sad.
I'm already there by lonestar. Another great song
Haven't seen Wanted requested yet, one of my all time favorite AJ songs
