Adam brings what's needed to Home Free's songs to make them extra good but never overshadows just to show off. Same with Tim and his bass abilities. They all do a darn good job of keeping egos in check and putting the music first. We fans are grateful for that.

Adam usually does a solo in most, if not every, live concert. He studied trumpet in college, and it seems those skills came in handy as he trained himself as a beatboxer. I never tire of watching these videos of his solos -- they are so completely amazing. Thank you for shining another spotlight on a Home Free treasure.

Even though this is newer than the one that is most highly requested, it is still fairly old. He now has a looping station that he uses. What you just watched is what Adam does during every show. He gets the spotlight while the other guys go off stage.

Enjoy your reactions & your appreciation of Adam's great talent. He is the best out there in my opinion. He simulates the sounds of a drum perfectly. Many drummers have commented on how good he is. He sounds so realistic. His breath control must be crazy. I heard he makes the sounds both while inhaling & exhaling. This was a few years ago & hard to believe but he is even better now. Adam is the glue that holds Home Free together. He is their secret weapon which other a cappella groups can't match.

As ElizabethRoss-uj8rl mentioned, Adam does a "drum solo" during every concert (usually between 8-12 minutes long). That he does that plus provides the heartbeat of the group for their 1.5 hour long shows.... he's definitely a very capable beatboxer. There are plenty of Adam Rupp drum solo videos taken by fans at various HF concerts dating back to 2015 or thereabouts. Glad you reacted to this! Adam is truly a freak of nature and we love him for being so!

Home Free often introduces him as the "pulse and heartbeat" of the band (or as a "freak of nature"). He truly is amazing. I found a short video on y/t where he said how to do "no-monica". I get hypnotized watching his hands & his jaw and throat muscles. BTW, he plays trumpet (and has a degree in it, I understand) as well as piano, drums & a bunch of other instruments. He does about a 10 min. drum solo in every concert.

Keeping in mind that this was early to mid 20tens... not long after the SingOff; the intent was to show/give sample of what he's capable of. In HF performances, Adam does a "block" (typically during "break") as "his" show; now-a-days it's much more involved. Many vids here on yt that shows what Adam does ... and damn he's an absolute "Freak of Nature". Check 'em sometime! Be Safe

Loved your reaction. Thank you for the experience. Now you’ll really want to see a more recent EDM-style performance. One of the best is "Adam Rupp Solo" on the LtKernelPanic channel, 12/17/2021. Of his Christmas solos with “Hark How the Bells,” a really good video is ““Drum/ Beatbox Solo (new) Adam Rupp/ Home Free- 12-3-22” on the wbish3 channel. The sound is much better than in the one titled “Rupp’s Trans-Siberian Orchestra.”

All the guys are sooo talented but in my opinion Adam's talent is PHENOMENAL!!! He not only has a beautiful voice (although he doesn't like to sing lead) and beat boxes but he taught the other guys several instrumental sounds to fill their songs on stage. He plays several instruments and instinctively seems to know what sounds and music is needed in a song. Check out his arrangement of Do You Hear What I Hear. It is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!! Also check out HF's version of How Great Thou Art where you actually get to hear Adam do a small solo that will send chills through you. Hearing that song is like listening to a heavenly chorus.

when he points to his feet it's to show the kick drum which turns into a double kick drum his movements are accurate and his High hats are incredible I have a drummer friend that just saw him live last year and he still is talking about how Adam has it down even the accents all drummers use like rim clicks or the different ways you hit the high hat. He say's His mind was Blown because it took him yrs of playing to get those things down so they didn't sound out of place or over done. Adam isn't completely human he's something More. Glad you got to see even a portion of what he does.

Definitely good enough, for sure!! I believe that misconception got started quite a while back because, during one of their international a capella conventions with elite people attending, he was (at least) two years *voted best by his peers* (other beatboxers)👍💓 Don't know about anyone else, but you won't hear me arguing with them on that point!! 😁🤗
