First time getting this E-MTB on trail! (SUPER FUN!) - Test Ride on a Trek Fuel EXe 9.7

Спорт

Big thanks to the Stevens Point Trek Store for letting me test this beast out on an actual trail! Right now this bike is on sale for $600 off, so I thought it would be a really cool opportunity to test ride it on my local trails and compare how it feels to it’s non-electric counterpart, my Trek Fuel Ex 9.8 Gen 6. This bike felt very similar to my Fuel Ex (poppy, playful, stable), with the only difference being that the climbs were super easy and I could have gone wayyyy longer. Penny flake color is 🔥

Hard to tell that it is even an e bike by looking at it. Super quiet too!!

Nice. So I have all analog mtbs, awesome bikes, I am in good shape, and I love shredding on them. But I am 52 and would love more energy for the fun features after our long climbs. Would you recommend this bike or would I never want to go back to a regular bike? Or would you recommend a full power to compliment the regular bike? The trek is so alluring to me though in its natural simplicity.

My opinion is: It depends on how long of rides you plan on typically going for, type of trails, how much you want your bike to weigh, and how much you want your bike to feel like your acoustic bike. If you’re going to use it on big burley enduro trails and will be going on longer rides, Rail, vice versa, EXe. If you don’t want to feel or sound like you’re on an e-bike, Exe.
