FIRST TIME EATING INDOMIE in WARMINDO 🇮🇩 (Famous Indonesian Instant Noodle Restaurant)
Foreigner tries INDOMIE for the first time in Restaurant called WARMINDO.
While driving home at night I saw a place with many colours and lights and I stopped by. Turns out that it was an INDOMIE WARUNG (those restaurants are usually called WARMINDO). You can eat the famous Indonesian Nodles in different flavours like Indomie Goreng, Indomie Rendang, Indomie Ayam Bawang and much more.
I eat my dinner at this place and also had much fun with the locals, because usually foreigners (bule) don't come to those restaurants. Furthermore I tried some traditional Indonesian drinks ('STMJ' - means Milk, Egg, Honey, Ginger) and they hat 'COR' as well.

Saya suka Indomie goreng dan juga Indomie rasa soto ayam kalau kamu suka Indomie yang agak pedas rasanya mungkin bisa coba Indomie rasa ayam geprek itu sangat enak dan juga pedasnya standar
Harusnya warung2 di Indonesia menyiapkan tempat bagi pelanggan yang tidak merokok, sehingga nyaman dalam menyantap menu yang disajikan.

If you want more spicy, just ask for chopped chili pepper... in bahasa it's called "cabai potong" or "cabe potong"... In sundanese dialect we called it cengek... in javanese it's called lombok rawit

Not spicy tho? It's must be a sambal or a hot sauce bottle on the desk somewhere, you dont ask. Indomie's warungs must have a bottle of sambal/hot sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt and pepper powder. Every warungs they always have sambal or hot sauce on the desk. Btw Soto soup is not only in Kalimantan, In Indonesia, soto kinda "a genre" of food. There are more than 170 kind of soto soup in Indonesia, from Aceh until West Papua, and all with different taste in every region, they named a soto ended with place, town or city, ex: Soto Jakarta, Soto Padang, Soto Makassar, Soto Banjar, Soto Madura, Soto Babat, etc... and with different kinda meat, ex: ayam (chicken), kambing (goat) or sapi (cow). Bonus: Keep the change = ambil saja (uang) kembaliannya

The ginger and milk has fermented sticky rice on it, the green one on the small plastic cup, they called it TAPE KETAN . The sticky rice is fermented with sugar and yeast so it contain small dose of alcohol.

If you want it to be spicy you can ask for it, "pak tolong dibuat pedas ya mie-nya" Usually they will put some chilli or sambal to your noodles
For me original flavor is good. I really like the original taste. however, if it's a regular portion, I feel it's not enough. you have to be indomie jumbo to be happy 🤣

When you pick Indomie Soto Special, a seller said "kuah". That means Broth. its different with Original Mie Goreng. Mie Goreng is fried noodle (without broth). So "kuah" = it have broth/water on it

maybe its a little weird to us as a local, we never tasted indomie as good as warmindo compared when we make it our self at home... the drink you drank called STMJ stand for Susu(condensed milk), Telur(fresh egg) Madu(Honey) and Jahe (ginger). rumored if you drink STMJ everyday could gives you more stamina, vitality, and also more immunity to anykind of desease(included covid-19). Funfact: if you travelled around indonesia you will hear different local language its for sure. the language that you are now called 'Javanesse language'

your drink that called COR, the green one added into milk is called tape, that made from fermented sticky rice with pandan & suji leave (they giving green color)
might help you when you go there again the drink, the one made from condensed milk and ginger (+"ketan" or sticky rice) called "Cor" the second drink, the one is pink called "soda gembira". it made of sparkling water, milk, and coconut flavored syrup "STMJ" however is something like a protein drink. best to drink before you do some heavy work also try the other mie goreng in different flavor. they have rendang flavor, ayam limau flavor, pecel flavor (deffinitely spicy), and many more flavor from traditional local food
