First time eating Fufu with Egusi Stew! (Mukbang) Le Mandingue in West Philly
In this episode I visit Le Mandingue Restaurant located 6620 Woodland ave. Phila, Pa. I've been wanting to try out Fufu ever since I saw Comedian, actor Michael Blackson post it on social media and more recently Tik Tokers have gotten a hold on this special dish. I was served Fufu with egusi stew and a lamb platter with plantains and rice. Watch to see my honest impression.

J.L.!!! J.L.!!! Thank you so much for taking on this mukbang. I almost broke my neck two times double taking the thumbnail for this video. West African food is EVERYTHING!!! I knew that Egusi stew and the rice with grilled meat would be bomb! Folks are sleeping on this cuisine because it's from Africa but the flavors are a game changer indeed. I'm so glad you enjoyed the food. Now I really am craving egusi and fufu. Looks delicious. Great vlog J.L.
You had DIBi (Grilled Lamb) and atteike (Furmanted Casava); Fufu can be (Cassava or plantain)you put that salad onto of the Atteike. It’s really good. Now try the Palm Nut Soup and Okra Soup is delicious.
Eating fufu in a car is wild! 😂 need to be close to a sink to wash your hands.

Thank you for being respectful during this review! I can't even watch this review by most Americans because of the disrespect. I'm a Black American who was able to travel to west Africa pre-pandemic and fell in love with everything about west Africa. South Africa is next for me! Jollof rice usually has a red/orange tint so thats the lightest jollof I've ever seen.

Fufu was a Game Changer for me and anybody who wasn't tried it yet!! One of my old co-workers told me about this place because I was tired of having the same thing all the time. That was one of my last meals before I moved to Hawaii. It is very enjoyable. I will be hitting Le Mandingue back up whenever I come back home to visit.

You eating plus your reactions to the different dishes is always a joy to watch! My wife and I just tried out an African restaurant walking distance from our house and we like it! I just need to explore their menu a little more and find out what's good and which days to come for certain things. I have tried a few dishes that had like a peanut butter stew with lamb and they were bomb! Now I gotta see if they have the fufu. Keep doing your thing and making us hungry LOL!✌🏾💯

That first bite tho!!! Hahaha had me feeling that all the way here in New Zealand 🇳🇿, love the content!
I always wanted to try this spot!! So glad i can watch you eat it first lol
The music, cinematography, and capturing the essence and decor of the restaurant is phenomenal. However- the fufu and stew look delectable, immense flavor, and fresh. Got to try this restaurant and foods.
My guy JL keeping it real as always love how you tap in with every culture
Never had fufu before but will try it soon. Mum's from Zimbabwe and so we often eat Saadza which is very similiar to fufu but made from ground dried corn kernels and served with chicken or meat stew and collard greens and tomato relish. It deffo bangs differently! 👌
You need a website with all of the spots you have visited. I have a lot of the spots in my Note but can't keep up!! Would be a great travel benefit for the Philly/South Jersey region....

Excellent 👌 reviews on our beloved fufu. We don’t just grow strong like that... This what sustainable for us. There are many types of fufu which is cassava flour, corn flour, mashed potatoes, in my country Cameroon we even have plantain fufu called “Ntuba” which is sliced with a rope not a knife since it’s so delicate. Next time try “Eru and water fufu” from a Cameroon restaurant. It’s a game changer. ✌️
Next time I go in the city, will order. That looks really good!
