Our first time attending the Flashlight Shootout proved to be a worthwhile experience as we crossed paths with a car we hadn’t seen in quite some time - The Texas Rattlesnake! This savage 3,000hp twin-turbo Chevy S-10 build is one hard to miss vehicle and one hard to beat competitor! Jumping into the lanes of Xtreme Raceway Park in Ferris, Texas, we caught Landon Hobbs making his first competitive passes in this originally no-prep built big tire machine. While the plate may suggest they prefer no-prep style racing, Landon and the Texas Rattlesnake crew don’t seem to have any aversion to competing in prepped event, especially when trying to tame 3,000hp for the first time. Brock Main3 engine trans drivetrain suspension alone is around 200k

David Gomez New maybe, but you can do it a lot cheaper. There is a 572 Hemi on Racingjunk right now with blower and injection for under $30,000. And it’s fresh from the machine shop with spares and dyno sheet showing over 4,000hp.
That’s a pretty badass S-10, I can’t wait to see it on no prep.

Go to National No Prep Racing Association's channel there is some footage on there of him racing No Prep
And for the future comments asking "Is that Larry Larson's old truck?" The answer is no, it hasn't sold yet.

Keefe Spencer no, Larry’s truck is single cab. There’s this thing called the internet that you can use to fact check your thoughts before you comment something stupid.

Iam a big fan of that truck, it's from Texas and its yellow. TWO OF MY FAVORITE THINGS
It's kinda crazy that now that there's a drag strip 5 miles from my house, and all of these famous people are coming around now. But of course Texas Motorplex has always been here in Ellis County
It's good to see someone out just having a blast. The way it was before the TV shows....

He did good lifting on the last pass. I've seen countless guys try and drive through that and end up destroying a car. When I drove I always lifted when it got any bit out of shape. I had too much time, money and work in my car to tear it up out of sheer stupidity
