Greetings from Scotland! Diana is 18yo currently but I've been following her since around 13yo. Diana is a natural Dramatic Contralto so the lower registers are her comfort zone but she now has a 4 octave range and it's increasing. Diana's birthmother had multiple miscarriages but when Diana came along, she seemed to hate her. She verbally and physically abused her, trying to drown her and belittle her. It all culminated when (at 3yo) she dragged her to a bus stop with a broken collarbone and abandoned her, saying "Survive if you can" A passing relative took her in but because she cried constantly (naturally with a broken collarbone) she took her to the authorities who removed Diana from her birthmothers care and placed her in an orphanage. For almost 2 years Diana never gave up hope and she knew that she was meant for something better. (This story is in her Wikipedia entry) Finally her new mother (Irina Ponik, who worked as a masseuse there occasionally) Signed her adoption papers and took her home. She vowed to pay Irina back for her kindness. Irina had a real struggle because Diana had obviously been badly affected by the experiences and at 5yo, she had a very bad stammer. It was recommended that she be taken for singing lessons to help this and immediately it was recognised that Diana had perfect pitch and an excellent ear for music and songs. 1 year later, at 6yo, Diana was performing solo on stage! This young unique phenomenon sang everywhere and anywhere she could, working constantly to earn money for the family who rescued her. The first song Diana sang at the end, that competition, was the river. The song that took the world by storm and there are many experts who claim that there has never been a singer who reached the level of Diana in a live performance who cannot use technology and electronics! She won a scholarship at the academy, and got an apartment in Moscow for her studies. She comes from a far away place! The song is considered worthy of praise by all music experts, this was at the age of 14! But later she sings in a more mature voice the song "The River" or as it is called "Rechanka" and it is a performance that makes the skin get goosebumps. I stated that "Irina Ponik signed the adoption papers", not who's idea it was. Diana's opening song in the project "You're Super!" was February 10, 2018 she sang "Dernière Danse" then April 14, 2018 "It's a Man's Man's Man's World" then on May 12, 2018 she sang "Rechenka" (NOT "RechAnka" as you spell it) and finally on May 25, 2018 (Season finale) "Tomorrow is a Lie"

Hello Vera and thank you for this fine reaction to Diana. Diana has a very rare voice. She is a contralto and she is also polyphonic, which means she can produce several tones at the same time. Diana's background: Diana was born on May 31, 2003 in the Far East of Russia. She was severely abused as a small child and abandoned on the street by her birth mother in winter when she was only 3 years old with a broken collarbone. To those that don’t know, Diana Ankudinova was only 18 years old when this performance took place during the 2021 season of a Russian vocal competition called the "ShowMaskGoOn". This cover of the Elvis Presley classic "Can't Help Falling In Love" now belongs to Diana and demonstrates Diana Ankudinova’s true contralto sound. For those that don’t know about female voice types, a contralto is the lowest female voice type and is very rare. First, to answer a very common question about Diana's vocal range. In 2017, her range was measured from a low of D3 to a high of A5. As of September 2021, about 4 years later, her functional range was measured from a low of C3 to a high of B♭5. But, it's not just how low she can go, it's the exceptional quality of her tone in her lower range. It's also her timbre, the roundness, the fullness, and the depth of her voice, along with her ability to create and access an enormous amount of resonance that further define Diana as a "dramatic contralto", which is the rarest of the rare contralto voice types. A lot of Diana’s ability has been attributed to her being born with vocal anatomy that is unique. Her vocal folds appear to be longer and thicker than most female singers. The music and vocals you hear are backing tracks used as just that, backgrounf. This is a very prestigious vocal competition and Diana Ankudinova is required to use the equipment provided for her use, as all other competitors are required to do. There was no opportunity for her to bring in, let alone set up, calibrate and test any extra electronic vocal manipulating equipment. What you are hearing is all Diana Ankudinova. Female singers usually don't reach full vocal maturity until they are somewhere around 24 to 28 years old; some reach it sooner, others, later. I am looking forward to what Diana will sound like when she does reach her full vocal maturity. When she does she will have had many more years of voice training with her voice teacher in addition to more years honing her on-stage performance skills. When that day happens, there will be no doubt that Diana Ankudinova will be a wonder to behold on stage and a vocal force to be reckoned with. Diana took part in the “ShowMaskGoOn on” vocal competition that featured her singing “Can’t Help Falling In Love” in September of 2021. The judges were a panel of nine professional singers that compete against each other and also award judging points to each other. The judge on the top row that stands up first is a famous Russian opera singer, Yusif Eyvazov from Azerbaijan. The blond woman in the red dress that also stands and looks shocked at the end of Diana's performance then puts both hands on top of her head in what looks like total disbelief also knows she is listening to a generational talent. Finally, Diana won this competition.

Diana is a very rare Dramatic Contralto who also has a natural polyphonic overtone (reverb) to her voice. She is now 18 years old...but you need to check out her earlier vids, "Rechenka", "Wicked Games", and "Human" back when she was 14 or 15. She is also a great yodeler and competed on several kids shows as a yodeler....she is a gift from God if you believe.

Be sure to play it loud in a room w good speakers and you will swim in the timbre of her voice. Its a full body experience

Diana is the most beautiful voice I've ever heard, a music generator and a musicality itself. Dimash with his 6 octaves, versatility & control is perhaps the best vocal instrument ever. Great reaction, sincere and fair one.

ok so there is alot I want to tell you about Diana first she is a contralto type voice the rarest and deepest female voice there is 2nd she has the ability to use polyphonics in her singing which means she can hit 2 different notes at the same time and it also works with the sub harmonics as well 3rd she also has the abilty to use binaural sounds so you put that all together with her range and she is the most unique voice in the world no one can compare to it now about her she has a very sad but ultimately triumphent back story you should really go to wikipedia and read about her she started singing at the age of 5 to help with speech problems and they found out how unique she is she has won several tv shows I am sure everyone will give you alot of suggestions of what to listen to she has several different nicknames she is known as the queen of goosebumps and a siren and shamanistic singer she can sing in several different languages spainish french english arabic of course russian there is a very deep catolog of her music so get ready for a great ride she released her first albumn a couple of years ago which was a totally crowd funded project and kind of semi professional and now in Dec she released her first professionally done albumn with some really great music on it I will be watching for your reactions and when you run out of others suggestions for her music I will give you more I am sure they wont get them all lol I liked your reaction to this one so you have a new sub now oh and I will tell you most dontsay please dont do anything that is a fan made video Diana herself has asked her fans not to listen to those because they are not hers and not the right performances that she did they add and subtract what they want from them and you dont get her real voice in most of them and if you can help it dont skip parts of any performances because then you loose context and meaning in them ok enough for now

Her unique vocal register is known as CONTRALTO which is very low but the two things that amazes me is her clean upper register and her ability to catch the attention of everyone with her voice. I wish I could listen to Diana sing with Dimash.

Здесь её 18 лет. Кстати, она победила в этом шоу. Голос её - звук живой. У её голоса полифонический эффект - поэтому и кажется, что поют несколько человек. Диапазон у неё официально 3,5 октавы (неофициально - 4,5). У неё огромное количество каверов. А также в декабре у неё вышел свой альбом. Её часто называют Димаш в юбке. Но я ставлю её выше Димаша. А чего не заплакала? Я помню, как ты плакала от Димаша.

@@user-zl2pq1fd9s на вкус и цвет товарищей нет. Я высказал своё личное мнение, которое никому не навязываю. Лично у меня от Димаша ни одной мурашки не пробежало. Технически уникальный и одарённый певец, но душу лично мне не трогает.
