JT’s Celtics got to the finals and lost before they won this year….this is Luka’s first finals! No one even thought the Mavs would even make it past the first series! To be fair it’s not jt’s celtics. It’s the Celtics. They have so many pieces. Luka it’s just Luka and sometimes kyrie. That’s the difference. Luka is going to have to become the best player in the league to win a chip because Mavs aren’t going to be able to construct a team like the Celtics did for Tatum. So.tired of hearing them cry about Luka fouling out. Maybe don't decide to start playing defense in game 3 of the finals when you have 5 fouls? Trying to take a charge, another one of browns key moments cause he knew the situation and baited Luka to get his last foul. And brown was picking up Luka full court at points and by the end of the 3rd quarter he was gassed, literally walking up and down the floor and not touching the ball for multiple possessions.

Just contrary to Perk and SAS and Wind ... haters selling junk and BS. I only dissagree with usage rate being blamed Luka - I think this depends on other players: if they play well and score, Luka gives the ball. So, this is consistent and in agreement with his high usage rate. Against Boston, they were not on the level of Boston defence, thus Luka was doing more on himself. And yes (as someone stated in comments) --> nobody talks about Kyrie! If he would give 30 per game, everything would be different. But now all pretend that it is Luka ALONE who should beat Boston. This part is not fair.

In my opinion, Luka just had one poor showing and that was game 3 when he fouls out after he and Kyrie (and co.) came back from 20+ down to within 3 with 6 minutes left in the game. That was the most pivotal game in the series (no team has ever come back down 3-0). If the Mavs win that game, I think Boston still has that "what the hell was that" game in game 4 and the series is tied 2-2 going back to Boston. What happens after that? We'll never know, but I still like Boston in 7. But the series would have been tied 2-2. Bottom line, you can't foul out of game 3 with your team down 2-0. That was the series.

No. Even if Luka had had monster games throughout the Finals, Boston simply outmatched the Mavs. The Mavs might have won another game or two behind Luka if he had monster games but the rest of the team just wasn't good enough. This has more to do with how formidable the Celtics are as a team than how bad Luka or the Mavs were.

This wasnt about what Luka and Kyrie didnt do, it was about what they werent allowed to do by Boston. My blood was boiling in Minnesota series when they got so many of them easy lob passes... You know why? Because they wouldnt constantly try to double and then give easy passes to Luka and Kyrie to their teammates. Boston has enough quality defenders so they just could guard them one on one and cut them off from rest of the team, how basketball defense should be played not this modern switch it all up, double for no reason nonsense. It was that simple.
