"Motorsport is dangerous" *On a safety barrier made of sticks and blue plastic string* love it! 💚🐇🐴💚
Great video, used to love watching speedway on the TV when in I was a kid, ole Olsen is the only one I can remember though!
I used to go and watch grass track many years ago around the Maidstone and Ashford area. It was always good fun and there was always that great smell of Castrol R in the air.
I have and still occasionally use a paraffin blowlamp in preference to gas and remember going to the Mount at Ringwood in the forties to watch grass track racing. Great days. Thanks for the memory
I was a big grass track fan, back in the days when health and safety took second place to some do or die racing. The sidecar boys always steal the show on their 1000cc steeds. A very spectacular sport, and given a whole new dimension if it rains!
Back in the 1980's (I think), when I still lived in Poole (Dorset), I remember going to the big Grasstrack event locally, the 'Wimborne Wopper'. Problem was, it was so dry that Summer, that after about a lap (sidecars) all the spectator could see was a dust cloud over the whole course. Presumably, the riders couldn't see much either, because after a while there was the sound of something hitting/breaking, and a solitary sidecar wheel came rolling out of the dust cloud. Sadly, an Ambulance was required to take someone off to Poole General! 'Happy Days'.
Hi Dom, absolutely cannot wait for 12 days of Christmas and see what you create 👍

I hope you enjoy it! Thank you
Great video - brought back lovely memories of my visit to the museum in Oct, the grasstrack racing brought back memories of Speedway dodging bits of tyres as they came of the bikes whilst doing circuit of the track -Looking forward to the 12days of Christmas, might get some ideas to decorate the gym - Well done to all the winners of the T shirts 👌😊
Another great video Dom. In my youth, in the 1960's a whole group of us would go grass track racing together almost every week-end during the summer. Then side car trials during the winter. For grass tracking we mainly rode all over Kent, great fun. You mentioned accidents, that is how I lost my front teeth!!!! Riding a solo the start are always a bit hairy, with everyone pushing and shoving. Wonderful days.
Great video Dom, love the grass track vid, brought back some memories from when I was younger, a lot younger 😀, great idea with the 12 day have a go deco, can’t wait to see them, 👍.
crashing ... slowing down quicker than you expect , with a small flight in the air, lol.. great stuff dom keep up the great stuff...
Nice trip around workshop area & grass track well done Dom.
Good show Dom... sounds like lots of exciting times coming in the near future...
Speedway 0 to 80mph in a couple of seconds with no brakes what could be more fun
Another enjoyable vlog, particularly the grass track racing section, keep 'em coming !!!!!
Great video loved the grass track I travelled all around the North of Wales and North England in the late 60s and early 70s with my friend who was an ex speedway rider , Happy days looking forward to the festive stuff.
Wow, that was another amazing VLOG. You are the man Dom 😊👍
Looking forward to watching the "12 days of christmas" videos. You always have such enthusiasm when talking about the subject. The website looks good and will only get better as more content is uploaded. Thanks as always.
Bet the majority of spills were after lunch? Heavy lunch and a bit shattered from the mornings racing always creates a few offs. Remember it's off road racing, so nobody ever actually crashes, the rider makes a strategic decision to 'throw the bike away' at a certain point.
Great video Dom and a very wise decision on the bike racing…!!! Looking forward to the Christmas videos and the web site looks very smart, well done indeed. Kind regards, Richard.
Madness! Looks like a grin! Until it isn’t. Congrats on the site. Looking forward to the 12 vids of Christmas.
“This is one of my favourite roofs”. Dont know why, but made me smile. Maybe it’s just a British thing :D
That bike racing is Maaaad..😳..!! Loving the festive vibe in the workshop & can't wait for the twelve day tips vids too..!!!
I feel like I could taste that racetrack with grass, mud, exhaust and diesel! Looking forward to Dom’s grotto and the website is awesome!( that’s what that artwork was for!)
Hi Dom, Web site Fantastic, Thanks for what you do , All the Best Brian 🤗😎
Website looking like a good base. Looking forward to seeing it develop with more personal and project info. Good luck with it.
Used to go frequently with my parents in the late 60s, they had a friend who raced grass track (and sometimes sand racing) so we spent most of our time in the paddock. Still remember the smells!
Epic until someone gets hurt but that's just part of the sport. Hello from Tonalea, Arizona USA. I enjoy your videos and contents. Be blessed.
Another great video, I look forward to them every week now.
Love the name 'ameliorator' says it all! Good luck with the website
60mph,no brakes, respect, but can only end badly 😂
FTFO only way to get that adrenaline flowing lol 😂
Great Vlog Dom. Looking forward to your 12 days of Christmas !🎄🎄
‘And then people started crashing’ , I’m with you on that one. So looking forward to the Christmas videos.
Man remember that from my childhood day, keep it coming Dom!!
We used to go with our dad as kids late 70’s early 80’s in Surrey/Hampshire was exciting and flipping dangerous
Happy new haircut and trim Dom! lol Great video as always! ;)
Great video Dom. Interesting mix of things. I will check out yr web page. All the best.
Old doesn’t mean bad Dominic. I love to go to the flea market (where folks go to sell all the stuff they’ve accumulated or inherited) and buy old tools especially old axe heads or even whole axes and restore them. Sometimes I’ll restore an axe head to a mirror finish and give the restored axe as a gift to a good friend. Indeed, old doesn’t mean bad. Darlington, South Carolina USA
Anothergreat video dom looking forward to 12 days of christmas
The Grotto idea is actually a fabulous idea. Elsewhere when I was in my 20s and thought I was indestructible I would have loved to field race motorcycles. Not anymore. At 66 having broken both elbows, one leg and most painful of all the clavical not for any amount of money would I race today.
Can’t wait for Don’s grotto sounds good!
Cant wait for next episode of Porsche!
Good video Dom. 👍
Just searched for your website with no joy, as usual interesting video.

The grass track racing seems very much the same as speedway to me without the cinders, I was into speedway for a while until they closed down the track at Romford, but i found the best way to go mud slugging was scrambling and spent many hours in a local farmers woods on my old Greeves, but that sport just seemed to disappear, or is it still going somewhere..???
The bit about the paraffin rag! I have an old torch which I was inspired to restore, there is a hard white lump of residue in the burner which from the pieces I have managed to extract appear to be woven textile. I can't get it out, should I just leave it in there?
Take a look at Red Marley Hill-Climb its for Vintage Bikes.
Looking forward to the 12 Christmas videos

Hi Dom. Probably best to avoid the grass track racing but great fun as a spectator. Also, really like Dom's Grotto. Who would have thought the dressed Ranalah would look better/more festive than the christmas tree - one for your Christmas cards?
Hi Dom, nothing grass-track, but while looking for some tools came across an English wheel on sale by Frost Auto Restoration that looks very much like a Ranalah! Not sure if its the same size, just wondered if you were aware of it? Keep up the good work!
The bikes look great fun but if I were you, stick with the metal work much safer!
When I watched grasstrack in the forties- fifties the bikes were pretty standard trials bikes. A lot of Bitzas...bits and pieces. Prrobably a cheap sport and great for spectators.
Go watch a Motor Cycle Trial very skillful lots of different categories even pre 65.
Great video. When are you going to finish the coffee landy? Seem to have had it for ages.

Have signed up on your new website Dom, good work. Question - the "coffee" Defender is taking a long long time to finish - is the owner not getting irate?!!! Best wishes...

The video was going good until you showed Christmas decorations bar humbug haha b####y Christmas 🎄 I did send a message to the repair shop to fix a tri-ang pedal dumper truck I've got from the 60s but no one got back to me I would still love someone to fix it for me 👀🥴👀
Don't go near that grass track you'll end up like my uncle - more metal than bone!!! 🙁
