First Steps On Our New Homestead
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
A few months ago we moved from a homestead that's been in development for over 20 years to a brand new piece of land that's a little bit bigger and closer to town.
Only thing is, it's a blank slate. We're going to start the long road to creating a homestead as frugally as possible, so you can follow along how we build our homestead from the ground up with as little money as possible.

@@HomesteadinHawaii Man it's been notging but cool here in San Diego on the beach. All summer I don"t believe we ever got to 85. The fall has been absolutly beautiful. Calm morning fog hanging over the coast, then nice warm slow days. Which I'm sure you remember well.
Great video and congrats on your new property! So much space to see your vision come to life. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experiences as you go through the process. So much great advice here. Thank you, Sean!

Thanks Luke, A lot of space but also a lot of work. Hopefully I can get things done soon around here.
Beautiful clean slate to work with, I'm excited to see how you put everything together on the new land

Me too! If only I could fast forward 10 years.
Hola, brother! We are starting by grafting the trees that we are going to need on our new land. That way, we will be in production -hopefully - in two years. We will be building our channel soon enough and will mention your channel as inspiration if you don't mind. Wishing you the best always.🎉

Aloha! Great way to start. A lot of my seedlings will be used as rootstock soon. Feel free to mention, maybe we can do a collaboration or something?
As you had mentioned - relocated to Hilo town. I didn’t know they have acreage . I love your property, lots of space, and also in town. I am in HPP

Hi Sean. Regarding Worms… Couldn’t you order them on the Internet and have them shipped to you in Hawaii? I think uncle Jim’s worm farm ships them.

You have to get special permits, better to just find worms local
Where is your place located? I’m in California and interested in moving there. I hope one day my dream come true.

When I first moved on the island, I propagated every plant I could find from friends and neighbors and built up my stoke that way. Kind of doing that again now
What a nice piece of land! I’m over on Kauai with just 1/3 acre. But, I’m surprised of how much we can grow already. I look forward to seeing what you do with your new homestead. Congratulations!

Also, after you did your avocado grafting video, I bought one off you that you said was a summer fruiting avocado. Might that be a Yamagata? Do you remember?
