This is another great video and what a corrective shot 600+ meters that's just awesome and really showcases how good and confident you are to stay calm enough to take a clean shot after the first was high. Brilliant skills and teamwork here, the spotter was also on the mark for the corrective shot. Stay safe...

What a beautiful country you have! Looks like you are doing gutless recovery of the meat. Do you recover the tenderloin - and if yes, how do you manage to do that? Second shot really dropped that stag. He was really puzzled by the sound of the first round going over. Great content as always.

The whole thing about hunters not ID'ing there target came a bit to close to home this morning had a bullet come within about 6 inches of my head this morning. You know it was close when you could feel it go by. On your first shot what the bloody hell was that stag doing was he just sitting there going na na missed me or something

I just don't understand how that happens. People don't look anything like an animal. Why would you not a get a positive ID before shooting ANYTHING in the wild? Are people out there just shooting at anything that moves or what?

​@@Roderik95 Yes unfortunately people do shoot anything that moves in the bush. Recently a guy shot his mate who he was hunting with and they split up. Paths crossed saw movement and boom.

@@tcw95NZ No I ddn't go catch up with him I new where he was and everything but better for everyone that I didn't go have a "chat" with him at the time. He was reported to police DoC and deer stalkers. The only defence he could possible have is I had a stags head on my back as I walked over a ridge line but I had orange on so didn't really look like a deer

Pretty much an electronic compass...set the bering and walk on it. It does correct you by pointing back in the direction you should be going though

@@rogeeproductions2509 I find orange far far too similar to the colour of a deer, especially when it starts to fade. Or when light conditions are poor. Where as blue in the bush is unmistakably not a deer.
