First Spear AAC Plate Carrier

Спорт

In this short video we take a look at the First Spear AAC.
Featuring Dfndr Armor Level 3+ & GCode Softshell Scorpion mag pouches.
We are unaffiliated with First Spear, Dfndr Armor, and GCode Holsters.
We're loving the ability to quick deploy or don the carrier, the comfort, mobility, and versatility. It's got a serious price tag, but it is one of the best carriers we have come across on the market.

    I have this and use it for work. Depending on the weight of the plates you use, I recommend shoulder pads. This is a really good carrier. Although I HATE that the real plate bag is longer, therefore making the plate sit a little higher than needed. Because of this is been making my rear plate dig into my rear shoulder blades. I've adjusted everything to the appropriate length but still irritates me. I used many carriers and have 3 others, none of which give me this problem. I wish the AAC rear plate bag was the same size as the front

    we actually special ordered the setup to have different setups for front vs rear. Our front is actually a Amphibian Swimmer M/L and the rear is an Ambphibian SAPI/SPEAR large. We did this based on the plates. The rear definitely fits, the front is crowning like a turd. Tight fit, holding fine, but definitely a difference in fitment.

    I just got my hands on a FS strandhogg - in terms of using the Gcode mag holders, when you Molly them through, is there a degrading function when in come to the laser cut molle? - im at odds with going with a similar set up as yours or get AXL placard adapter for a chest rig to avoid the mentioned issue - thanks for the advice

    one thing id have to say besides an awesome review try to show the front side of the PC and rotate it a few times cause youre pointing at things early on that nobody sees at all except for yourself as the video went on . Major points if you turn it around and point as you explain the carrier features. it sits there for most of the time in an hard to understand POV as an audience when its plopped on the table. it helps to show the item youre talking about. in proportion to the screen when sitting on the table, it shows more you and the BG than the product itself. but besides that the music is fine, altho i guess if someone else says its too loud, idk great lighting. abit bright out the window but does help to not tint the RG on the PC in orange. love the warm colors. love the review. considering the strandhogg but after this came out wasnt sure which one i wanted anymore

  • @MantisDefense

    @MantisDefense

    2 жыл бұрын

    On the back they offer a large loop panel that can mount to the PC. For the front, of you use the admin pouch there is space on that. I originally noticed the narrowness of mounting an admin pouch, not a whole lot of space around for extra loop.

  • @MantisDefense

  • @MantisDefense

    @MantisDefense

    4 жыл бұрын

    easy.... just put it up to our shoulder. Kidding. We base our rifle more into the chest than the shoulder. With plates that's a decision/cut you'll have to make whether to base on your shoulder more, your plates, or whatever combination you end up with

    the tubes will not wear away? yeah okay, lmfao. You're velcro isn't being taken care of as it should as you do with all your other equipment. It doesn't take much to clean velcro and make it like new again. I'd trust that velcro over that plastic any day of the week. Has that plastic been tested in 100* Heat? Cold temperatures? what's the flexibilty of those tubes? Velcro is made to take the load throughout the whole thing, and those plastic tubes are taking loads through out the tube at different angles. I guarantee that plastic will eat up those straps. But of course if you intend on standing and not doing anything than this plastic tube gimmick is okay.
