The rocks are from mud from the lahar after the St. Helens eruption in 1980. A friend of mine lives on the river and says they're all over the place there. :) They don't even feel real, they're so light! (edited to add: Where's that second, rocky site? It looks like a good place to go look for, well, rocks...and I'm kind of a rock nerd. And I understand if you don't want to share, though, since overrunning places with less than respectful people can be an issue. Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. :D)

Omg that is so cool! Makes me appreciate the rocks so much more!! I am a rock nerd too haha, if you are talking about the last rocky place in the vid that is Summit Rock in Oregon. It was so much fun!
