The 1st accumulating snowfall of the Fall season on Loveland Pass, Highway 6 above the Eisenhower tunnel on I-70.

    Last year I saw snow in the Radar on the top 500' of Mt.Shasta... IN AUGUST..!

    The summit of Shasta is currently freezing. Shasta is about 50% as high as Mount Everest.

    Well It's no surprise that Loveland Pass got snow since it's above timberline at nearly 12,000 feet. I've personally seen it snow in July at that elevation

    @@tripplefives1402 Normal for Colorado to have their first snow in August or September. However; that does not mean that it is a big storm, just a slow change in climate.

    @@tripplefives1402 Yes, and Mount Shasta summit in California now will probably be freezing now until Spring. The top of the volcano is about halfway as high as Mount Everest.
