hell yeah! very nice progress youve made since your first video man, very impressive. be careful in the snow though, ive crashed my e46 in the snow last weekend when drifting. braking distcances are much longer than expected sometimes 😅

yeah I agree. for me the thing is sometimes when you want just a little basically no angle powerslide, it just goes out too much even after you let go the throttle. catched 1 sidewalk barrier already a little bit. Luckily with snow everywhere it's just a soft bump (if you are lucky) :D

What helps me get a nice smooth drift is letting the steering wheel move on its own as much as possible and use gas for angle rather than steering wheel

yes, but it's not doing that 100% of time (at least for me), so need to be prepared for that.

Interior is almost the same as my z4 e85, even the engine is the same :) I've learned to snow drift with that small rocket, it's so hard without a welded diff but doable

nice. yea, with open diff the hardest part is to start drift, as it doesn't always happen exactly when you would think it should, but once you going, its fine :)

When it snows, it's best to go out in the city. There is never a problem with the police, because when they catch you, you say that the road is very slippery and always they let you go. I understand driving to a drifting spot, because it's always safe there, but there are no emotions like on the street. Greetings from Poland

yeah, I understand what you are saying. but for us the police is more strict, if they will see bmw drifting, they wont let you go so easily as they say bmw's have a very good traction controls etc..

thanks. im using gopro9. but you also need to set up a correct presets etc.. if you will shoot straight out the box, it might not look as you want

you lucky then. for us nothing like that is street legal. and when you ask them why, they just say that they don't know how the parts will react in case of a crash..

Its your handbrake that heats up one side, you probably tighten it really much.

Nop it wasn't. It was the brake caliper, probably little bit frozen. After little while everything was fine (also checked with mechanic - no issues were found)

@gustas26 rear brakes I have recently replaced all. discs, pads, ebrake stuff etc. so I was little surprised why something went wrong. Thanks 👍😉

nebūs protams kā ar leņķa kitu vai tml, bet lai uz skati nevajadzētu čakarēties ir vērts. teorētiski leņķim iegūst klāt tikai dažus grādus, bet pēc sajūtas ir jūtamāka atšķirība.

try using only one hand to steer. keep the other one away from the wheel. you can do so by holding your hand open and the palm of your hand on the steering wheel. then you can turn the steering wheel quicker, easier and without letting go. its hard to use 2 hands while drifting in my opinion. i always keep my right hand on the shifter

Yes, it's welded

Nice driving but E46 and 100 per cent isn't too good for this rally driving as it has no real LSD. With E36 and 25% lock (OEM option), it is way easier to control and feels acutally like another way of traction rather than loosin it. 100 per cent lock is like always sideways without reason and is very slow in the snow. Check for a drexler lsd with 25 to 40 per cent for your E46 as it will gain overall performance also in the dry. I recommend 25 per cent for fast driving and 40 per cent for fun driving (or professional race use with semis slicks and clubsport suspension).

I'm not exactly sure, haven't checked. but the last time I checked the combined (city & highway) fuel consumption was about 9 liters. on the highway it's 7-8L when driving 100km/h

only 1 was. the brake caliper was not moving freely and because of that the brake pads were touching the disk. after some time it was way less hot. when checked in the service, everything was actually fine once I got there. no repair needed.

Aizsnidzis nav jo izbraukā, bet ir sniega vaļņi pa malām samesti un nobraukāts līdz ledum. Pat quatro gandrīz vai nevarēja pabraukt. Tas bija pirms varbūt 4 dienām, tagad gan jau līdzīgi tāpat
