Did my 8S. They put 7100 Motul full synthetic. Runs sweet

I just had my 600 mile service done on my 8S couple of weeks ago. They were going to put in regular dino oil, but I asked them to put in Suzuki full synthetic oil in it. Quite expensive oil but I want her to last as long as possible.

Yeah, I'm being extra careful with my 8S because I think I'm going to keep this one for a while.

My 2024 gsx-8s is in the shop for it's 600 mile service. They use Suzuki Ecstar oil and asked which one i wanted them to use. I just went with the R7000 semi synthetic for now. I plan on doing the next oil change myself, so maybe I'll do full synthetic at that point. If u find good touch up paint, please share that. I'm mad that I got some scratch marks on the handlebars. This is my first bike and had no idea how easy that black coating would scratch up from an extra key dangling off a key chain. Now i know to just always only have the one bike key. Lol

Did anyone else catch the hood of the car that wasn't secure @4:24 ? They didn't close it properly, and on the freeway it blew over and smashed the windshield. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Now I'm always noticing it on different cars while driving

Like you, I've been quite happy with my 8S. I had Ride Now Peoria do my first service but chose the minimal to satisfy warranty requirements "silver service" (oil and filter change/clean and lube chain/lube cables) so got it done for only $129. Considering I paid more than 3x that amount for the first service on my Duke 390 I was quite happy with that too. I've got about 1700 mi. so far but all in town and am looking forward to slightly warmer temps. up north so I can visit Bagdad, Prescott, and Jerome.

Have you ridden your in the phoenix heat yet? I’m down in Tucson, just bought a blue 8S. I’m curious how they’ll do in the heat

@@RovingTrader Yes, it does very well in the heat. You can feel it, but it's not uncomfortable.

@@RovingTrader Sorry not yet. Got the bike in late October so basically have owned it for the 6 coolest months. 95ish max. so far and it has triggered the cooling fan a few times waiting for a light to change but cools off when moving. Comfort wise I've only noticed heat from the engine a couple of times but it was not bothersome or in any way uncomfortable (I always wear boots and heavy riding jeans). Hope this helps!

You do not need to take it to go to a dealer for warranty requirements. Always do your own servicing and save the money. Really not that difficult either.

Anyone know why the 8s has that hum when driving down the road around 30+ mph?

How long did it take

I prefer the 8s. The s750 has a more aggressive riding position and builds its power in the upper range whereas the 8s pulls much harder down low and in the mid range.

The 600 mile service is just a guide, you don't have to do exactly 600 miles. 😂

You definitely have to change the oil the first 600 miles because of metal particles in a new engine
