First Row of WALLS for My New Big Log HOME in the Wilderness, Door-Frames, Oak sink, Ep.2
The preparation of the main logs for the construction of the walls took a long time, but now that there are enough logs, I am ready to work full working days to finish the walls by winter. At the beginning of the video, I concreted the columns for my hallway, which in the future I will connect with my forest kitchen.
For the first row of walls, I cut a 29-foot pine log in half to make two sill logs. After installing the first row of walls, I made door frames, which will later help save the amount of logs spent.

Oh man, that meal looked awesome, I could almost smell it myself 😋 The cabin is coming along nicely ❤️ Though I have to admit, my favourite shot of this video was when you were working hard to shift the first door frame, and Joy was taking on a log that must weigh nearly as much as he does 🤩. Building as it was from a time fading. It makes my entire body hurt just watching. Craftsmanship is excellent. If it's worth the time and energy, it's worth doing.

From what l see your a extremely hard working man. You have a great wood craftsmanship in you. You seem like a pretty good person, an l have a great respect for you. And for what you do. I hope you Replace ten times the trees you logged, to make up the hundreds of years it will take for them to grow to a healthy mature age. Too many trees for one single human enterprise. I live in a metal shed, insulated and surrounded by ponderosa pine trees, some estimated at least 250 year olds. They deserve be left alone and I love them as they stand. You can't beat the sound of the wind going through them at night. Priceless.
