This is my new ride, a Yamaha XT 660 Z Tenere 2009 with Exan exhaust.
This is my first thumper (single cylinder engine) and it is great fun to ride.
Going to do some traveling and (wild) camping so more videos to come.

I ❤my tenere,I’ve got tall dark screen and rear hugger,only use it on road with Avon roadriders front and rear great grip!,twin delkevic exhausts sound brilliant and maybe makes-close to 55hp,good bike for touring 🏴

These are awesome bikes. I have one as well. I had no issues this far and it has a lot more power than the KLR650 and Honda XR650 L which i am familiar with as well. The Honda XR is a very cool bike but i ride long distances on weekends and it was not made for that. Enjoy the bike.

How happy are you with exan exhaust since you installed it? Can you recommend it?

It was allready on the bike when i bought it, but it’s great. Nice performance, sound and looks!
Does it vibrate a lot, would it become an issue on like whole day 400km ride?

No it does not. It does not vibrate that much like other thumpers. A 400 whole day ride would not be any problem!

Ik zie dat je ook een ktm 950 heb gehad. Vanwaar de switch van de 950 naar de tenere?

Klopt inderdaad! Ik zocht een motor die (iets) lichter was, zuiniger en betrouwbaarder. En die heb ik gevonden in de Tenere. En het mindere vermogen vind ik eigenlijk ook leuker, zo kun je steeds vol op het gas!

@@debaron ah oke! Cool cool. Klinkt logisch inderdaad. Maar betrouwbaarder? Problemen gehad met de 950? Ik dacht dat die LC8 blokken vrij robuust waren. Ik ben nu aan het kijken voor een nieuwe motor, wellicht een 950, dus vandaar de vragen!

@@dehCremus ik heb helaas best wat (dure) probleempjes gehad met m’n 950 waardoor ik het vertrouwen een beetje kwijtraakte, ze staan er wel een beetje om bekend … Overigens wel een hele gave motor waar ik veel plezier aan heb beleefd, maar de Tenere maakt me gelukkiger ;)
