How do you get a company to lease on to what’s that process and do you have to have experience?

A lot of the places that offer leasing on with your own truck require atleast a year. Some require more. Firstly you'd need a truck, then you'd do your research on select companies and try going with the one that suits you best. You just gotta put in an application just like you would anywhere else and if you don't hear anything back you call them to check up on it. Thanks for watchin!

They do have that option, sfi orders the basic model without them. Not sure if that changes with the premium model or not. Thanks for watching!

Check for recalls. Several of these have had steering problems and risk of fire.

Couple of questions for you: (1) what was your deposit (if any)? (2) Your truck wasn’t governed at all when you picked it up? Edit: just noticed you said your deposit was $3400.

My first question is do they train people to drive their trucks please come back that

Gave them my security deposit/down payment the first week of June. My truck didn't arrive or was ready to be picked up until September 14th. So roughly 3 and a half months. Also know that drivers that are going to Schneider or drivers already at Schneider that need to swap trucks take priority. Also wanted to mention that sfi wasn't my only choice, I called LRM, MHC and a few other leasing places and every single one of them were either 3 to 4 months wait or you would need to put $23,000 down. So sfi was the best option. Hope this helps, thanks for watchin.

Yeah every manufacturer is behind, it sucks. I will be getting on with a carrier. Maybe further down the road I'll establish my own authority.

How did you do your insurance???

What I did from the start: Called around and got quotes from several insurance companies. They were all pretty similar in price but the cheapest and the easiest to deal with for me was true north. If you call true north and give them the total estimated worth of the truck (mine was 165,000) and let them know you need whatever policies sfi requires and they will give you an estimated quote based off of your mvr and information as well as what info you gave them about the truck. The day I went to pickup my truck I called and setup a temporary 30 day policy for $823. About 5 days before that temp policy expired I called and switched over to a permanent policy, or what they call, "month to month policy". The total cost of everything can be completely different than my costs. But for the permanent policy I am paying $850 for the first month and then afterwards it will drop by $40. Reason for that is for the first 30 days they will cover the unladen coverage after that landstar covers us for that so no point in having double policies. Not bad. Just the initial change from one truck to another. It took a little time to learn the quirks.
