First Ride 2021 Kawasaki KX250 - Motocross Action Magazine

Спорт

#motocross #dirtbike #racing #kawasaki
Motocross Action Magazine tests the all new 2021 Kawasaki KX250 out at Perris Raceway. This bike is all new from the ground up featuring new frame, new swing-arm, new bodywork, new hydraulic clutch, and electric start. Do all these changes stack up to a 2021 class leading 250? Sit back and enjoy what the MXA wrecking crew has to say about the 2021 green machine. We were the last media outlet at the track and for a good reason. We want to give our viewers a more in depth review on these bikes each time there's a new release. We hope this helps you in your future purchases when it comes to picking up a new dirtbike.

    Doofy,....AT YOUR YAMAHA DEALER..... As a longtime kawasaki rider, once I go thru that door and snap up a Yamaha, there is no room for Kawasaki and their abandonment of loyal 2 stroke riders, and no going back thru that door. They didnt just disregard the market or the technology, they threw away the preferences and differences in riding styles that riders cherished from generations of faithfully applying all that. You know, and I know, as millions of others know, that Kawasaki does not want to know us,... Something else I know,...there isnt anything worth waiting for if one is a 2 stroke fan under those November 23rd reveal tarps for the "new" Kawasaki line up. Does the new KX250 now have the same low end grunt of the 2019/2020 YZ250F? I'm wanting it to pull hard as the YZ250F does in 3rd or 4th? I'm 50 vet rider, 200 lb (no not fat just fluffy lol .....jk) so a heavier rider than target weight ranges but after riding my new 2021 KX450 yesterday I hate it as it's not much more powerful than my 2019 YZ250F smh and I bought it thinking it would pull harder coming out of turns into jumps right away but when I hit the throttle it doesn't pull my fat ass any harder to clear certain jumps that follow right after a turn. Being that I will never be as fast out of turns as I once was 20 years ago I figured the 450 was the better choice but now I'm wanting to stick with my lighter, easier to manage but torquey 2019 YZ250F and just get faster in these turns to carry the speed I need vs trying to leverage what I thought would be more pull in 3rd (where I usually stay 75 percent of the time unless hitting a larger jump using 4th). Love Kawasaki so just wanted to get your take on the 2021 250 low end vs the 2019/2020 Yamaha YZ250. Thanks for any input or advice. One more question and that is if I kept the 2021 450 would the white coupler give me better low end torque to propel me over these certain jumps when in 3rd?

    Lots of confusion there in ur comment.. but let me just say..I too am an older vet rider..49yrs old/210lbs. Similar age/weight. I ride woods/local tracks & trails. *My scenario is.. i regularly switch between a newer Yamaha YFZ450R quad & '21 Kawasaki KX250F* . I wanted a '21 Yamaha YZ250F but after riding a friend's I felt it was quite powerful but I too longed for the green machines (of my youth) & held out for the 1st '21 Kawi 250F hit my local dealer. Glad I did! Rides more comfortable esp for us vet guys. Handles awesome. Sounds phenomenal.. an lastly..it feels faster to me than that '21 Yamaha 250F. Thats my take. They are both great bikes! Try the Kawasaki KX250F it won't disappoint. Be safe & keep riding! - NW Ohio #Yamaha #Kawasaki

The 21 KX250 is a great bike but on the track the 450 clears doubles/triples with less effort aka without winding it out. Thanks for the feedback! Kawasaki makes a great bike!

    The only thing that a hydraulic clutch brings, is trouble. No one needs that on a dirtbike! I dont even like it on my street bike. It leaks. It sucks dirt in the system. It can have air inside which you is a completely mess to get out of the slave cylinder when it runs dry.. Its just trouble no one needs...

  • @peaceprayer595

    @peaceprayer595

    Clutch cables fray, stretch over time, break and get disconnected from the ball. With a cable you must manually tighten the cable when the clutch fades. Hydraulic clutches can fail also but it is at least equally as rare as a clutch cable. The benefits of a lighter pull and never needing adjustment far outweigh any potential drawbacks. You could have mentioned the difference in feel, but even this is marginal today. That used to be a great argument. 22 years ago when I tried my first hydraulic clutch it is was kinda "in or out" / "on or off" and more difficult to meter traction. Today, that is not the case at all.

    I'm thinking these r turning out to be pussy bike's nothing like 01 Honda. Plus older. It's so soft now. And Husqvarna KTM parts more more comming.out of the dark. Tired building parts for the top colours. Best motor is. STILL. Still the best.

    You got the history wrong on the kx250. The engine changed in 17. The horrible mapping on the 16 belonged to the 450. C'mon man! Heres the deal, All these bikes and different colors look like a racial jungle and I don't want my kid riding in it. Just stick to the husky and build mx back better
