That was very awesome....I'm a stranger...in a strangers land...I had to move 3,000 miles away from my home after 59 years...I'm all alone trying to start all over again...it's the hardest thing I've ever done...I still don't know if I'm going to make it...so I really relate to this song...it brought tears to my eyes as well...I really enjoy your reactions...keep them coming...do more pink Floyd reactions please🙏🤔🧐🙄🌅

I am a 73 yr. old African-American great-grandmother here in the US. I love your reactions because they are so real and not like a lot of people who just act crazy and silly. I have been listening to Dimash almost every day for about 3 mos. now because his voice is so soothing and calming and it feels like a hug to my heart. Thank you so very much. I feel as if I am watching him in the same with you. Stay sweet.

A very enjoyable reaction. Dimash premiered his newest song "Stranger" on August 19, 2021, during his performance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krotoy on the piano and introduced Olzhas Qurmanbeck on the kobyz. It is an amazing performance, one of, if not the best to date, in my humble opinion. Igor Krutoy composed the music, American poetess Sharon Vaughn wrote the lyrics, and Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan) did the arrangement. Igor Krutoy is quoted as saying that “it was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way.” When Dimash first listened to the melody of "Stranger" he felt that the addition of a kobyz to the musical arrangement would give the song a unique, yet very fitting sound. Thus, the kobyz made its debut at the New Wave Hall at the Sochi Olympic Park, and what a great choice indeed. It is a beautiful sounding instrument that seems to underscore the song’s deep meaning. This wasn’t the first time that Dimash has featured Olzhas Qurmanbeck playing the kobyz. You can also enjoy him in a few of Dimash’s other performances such as Qairan Elim (official music video) and Samaltau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival). The Kobyz is a very old, traditional, and sacred instrument in Kazakhstan. The kobyz or kyl kobyz is the most ancient bowed instrument on earth, widespread among the Turks, Kazakhs, Karakalpaks, Bashkirs, and Tatars. It became the basis for most of today’s bowed instruments around the world, including European instruments such as violin, viola, cello, and contrabass. The Kyrgyz variant is called kyl-kayak. The instrument is carved from a single piece of wood (typically apricot) or juniper (arsha), maple, pine tree, or birch. The instrument consists of three parts: head (bas), middle (base is keude), and lower part (ayak) and usually measures 60-70 cm. It has two strings made from horsetail hair; one to provide melody and the other resonance. The bow is shaped like an archer’s bow, and its string is tied to both ends of the bent branch and affixed with strong threads of camel wool. The New Wave Music competition started in 2002, and for nearly two decades now has been one of the most iconic music events in Russia and other parts of the world. It is an international contest for young performers of popular music. It was founded by Russian composer, performer, and music producer Igor Krutoy (seen here playing the piano) and Latvian pianist and composer Raimonds Pauls. Russian superstar Alla Pugacheva eventually joined as one of the show’s organizers. The contest usually lasts for six days: 3 contest days, 2 special event days, and the final day when the contest's results are announced and a final concert is performed. The television audience of the New Wave music competition numbers more than 200 million people. In 2018, Dimash debuted as a guest performer, performing his now legendary rendition of “Sinful Passion”. This year (2021) Dimash took part as a guest performer, as well as a judge. In this year’s finale, 11 participants from 9 countries will compete for the grand prize.

Dear new Dear, You can prepare yourself with Dimash on every new song. He always catches you, including me, as a seasoned, veteran Dear. He was absolutely top notch years ago and yet he continues to evolve in time lapse and all this below the radar of the narrow-minded "western mainstream" world. I look forward to the day when everyone says: "Yeah whoops, where did he come from? What rock have we been under for the last few years that we missed this young man?" Dimash's voice cracks me up. I have an irredeemable crush on it - and on him too. Lots of love from Switzerland 🤗🇨🇭

Sarah I found you at Dimash’s sos. Just now I found you on my tv which I can’t write anything to you on there. But somehow you got to stranger. I just now looked in your library and all you had was sinful passion. When I found you on stranger I thought oh no she’s not ready for this. Sos was 2017, sinful was I think 2018, but you jumped to stranger 2021. You jumped 3 years of Dimash’s practicing 3 hours a day in vocal lessons with or with out vocal teacher. Dimash swims everyday for his lungs so that capacity has happened since sinful. On his channel since 2017 he has over 100 live videos plus all the music videos video game tracks 3 years of huge sold out concerts. We you ready? No. You were completely dimashified. I mean I had the goose bumps again with you. You even had them afterwards. I thought you were going to go into shock. I’ve never seen someone so taken back by dimash. Go to his channel when you recover and find some older reactions a d lead yourself up back to the new stuff. Dimash was supposed to have a vocal range of 6 octaves at sos. Think about this stranger cover 5 octaves in one song. About a year ago he had 7 octaves and 2 semitones. He hit a D8 in a 2017 concert in Gakku singing the song he wrote unforgettable day. A D8 is one note higher than the piano. Did you hear those base notes at the beginning of stranger? I don’t know how you came out of that time warp in 2017 with sos to 2021 with a person like dimash, but you did. I hope you can sleep after this. It’s a lot to take in. I was right there with you. The think about dimash is he does this for you for me. He calls his fans dears. Ifyku not a dear after that I don’t know what you are. Welcome to the dears. We are in 120 countries around the world.

Why is half your dimash playlist private? Hmm, try making it public to grow your channel?…

A little constructive criticism….you need to trade places with the video you need to be in the small monitor and the video in the space you are taking…could not even see the video… less of you and more of the video screen… after the video is over then move yourself to the big side…

the reactor is the focal point in a reaction. The video that is reacted to always needs to be the small one, even just for the fact that parts that might be important might be cut out. Also and that is really the point as to why videos are kept either very small, transparent or overlaid with a watermark, if the video is bigger, then it is likely to get blocked! Some reactors talk in the middle to break up the video in order for it to not get blocked, others decide to play the video full and don't interrupt, but then they do need to keep the video small (or as you probably seen with other reactors, transparent).

@@christiandengler6689 well if you stop and really think about it the reactor is not the focal point… without the video there would be no real reason for a reactor… they could react to their cup of coffee that morning… or why have a video at all…??? Just play the song without the video portion… but of course that’s the whole thing to reacting is the live version because it is as much a part of the whole as the song is…truth be known… we don’t actually need to see the reactor… just their voice so one could conclude the video is the more important and should actually take up the entire screen… no real need to see the reactor at all…just hear what they have to say…

@@rodhart6732 I don't think that what attracts you to reaction videos is what attracts most people watching reactions. Most people watching reactions want to see the facial expression of the reactors...I personally would not get the point at all if there was just a voice over, to me that would be pointless. Regardless of your preference however, fact remains that often times the video will be blocked if it is too big, so no matter how you prefer it, it is a copyright issue.

A little constructive criticism…you and the video need to trade places… the video was so small I could not see anything but small flashes… more of the video… less of you… after it’s over… then go back to the big spot…
