To me, Demon Slayer is the perfect start anime in my opinion. It’s a simple story with easy-to-understand worldbuilding. It doesn’t have a massive overarching and complex conspiracy at its core like say One Piece. Yes, it’s trope-y but for a beginner that’s a positive. And it’s grounded by stellar character writing. It also doesn’t have any of the nudity that could be a turn-off for a lot of beginner anime viewers. Maybe only 2 scenes. And it’s gorgeously animated! Plus its length doesn’t make it feel like an impossible task.

I finished the manga a while back but I just finished watching the swordsmith arc just a couple days ago, so it will be dope to continue to watch DS now, because the anime is fucking lit.

demon slayer lucky af that ufotable is animating this series, the way they flesh everything out + color usage is top tier.
