Ever played Tarkov? :D That UI is straight from EFT, the "safelock" and everything, even the weight ad\bio graphs LOL. And i'm seeing the same Razor headset and TC-2000 helmet, this is just parody at this point.

From watching streams all day today. This doesn’t even begin to give me taking vibes. It feels more like a very polished version of arma 3 epoch. Or exile mod. The graphics look great but it doesn’t give taro killer vibes. Plus the stakes are too low. Being that the server is persistent and you can just run back and grab your shit, you don’t feel like you’re really risking anything.

Not impressed by it at all. And the size of the weapons makes it look like it's an air soft game. It might be one of those "more fun to play, than watch." But I was bored out of mind watching this game. The graphics don't even look that good. The animations are complete shyt and everyone has to downgrade their settings to just run it.

I hope it continues to improve since it is still early stage, but it lacks all the satisfaction that tarkov has. The UMPH when you get a kill, even on a scav in tarkov is just so satisfying and this is definitely lacking that.

One thing I've started to notice throughout the years is that there are these very specific channels on KZread that find these games (Shitty or not) and they all have these things in common. 1. They try and make a game that already exists 2. The graphics are always exceptional and look like the devs put quite a bit of time into them, however just completely forgot that a video game isn't just about graphics and game feel is completely missing and the game plays and feels like a mobile game compared to what its copying 3. They all either start with "Project" or "(Blank) zone warfare." And the channel never talks about games made by well known devs, they only talk about these specific types of games and always try and say that they are "Way better" than the game its copying. I know that a lot of people when these games come out say that the newest one is going to replace Tarkov but dude, this is just not Tarkov. I would say that they definitely took a lot of... lets just say inspiration to be generous *cough *cough traders *cough tasks *cough secure container....

I feel like I am in the minority here, and maybe it is just because I am only on my first Tarkov wipe and absolutely loving it - but other than the graphics, Gray Zone looks to me like a dollar store tarkov in a different climate and region. I know it's early, and I would love to be proven wrong - but right now I don't see the makings of a great game. Just one man's opinion.

this game in alpha state has more systems and more polished then 8 years of tarkov development, how many years did it took to implement vault system in tarkov ? no one is pointing a gun to you forcing you play gray zone, you can still suck the nikita balls mate

For a pre alpha game it has surprisingly good graphics and UI; compared to others like DayZ

Honestly if tarkov's supposed reworked graphics don't end up as good as this, we might have a gameswitch for a portion of the playerbase. Not saying graphics is all but it's a major part of it.

tarkov’s graphics rework will not be major. Nothing drastically will change. Probably they will rework some things like fog, smoke, fire, water textures or leaves and etc.

Like compare the lighting of these two games they're night/day difference, with how many people complain about interchange and lighting in general, I really hope they put major work into it.

Looks interesting for a pre-alpha game. The only thing I really don't like is the setting it seems to be just a wide open space with some small villages around. I'd like to see a big city type setting or even a smaller suburban area.

The devs have said before they are not creating something to take EFTs throne. The main issue is gonna be it surviving long enough to keep putting out updates

@@MachinedFace88ttv Yeah 35 mil this wipe and I haven't touched the game in the past 2 months atleast. Arena is like you said. Game is fucked. They keep destroying the economy on the flea market and as such the game keeps getting less fun and more grind. I grind hard for a month then lose interest. Has happened every wipe the past 2 years. I'm done. I just started playing again to have fun the rest of wipe and then boom, once wipe happens I am wiping the install from my PC for good. BSG has proved nothing more to me than they want to keep making the game less fun. Why am I level 35 with 35.7 mil roubles and I can't buy or craft decent fucking ammo or armor? It's stupid and just as bad of a grind now as Warthunder. I am out.

As someone who used to play test for activision and another game studio, this game is not in pre-alpha. Obviously, you can call your play testing whatever you want, but pre-alpha has so many place holders, and missing textures, and animations, this game is even more fleshed out then some games that go early access.

EFT devs have basically done nothing about it, besides trying to stop RMT which has just pissed off the normal players. Nikita has no idea what to do, theres no fixing EFT. They're releasing 1.0 next year then the game is over.

Game looks great in its current state for alpha,the map is 2 big in my opinion,makes you run around alot and barely see any enemy

Aside from the UI I don’t think this game looks bad at all, it reminds me of the more recent ghost recon games which I don’t hate.

There are multiple opinions I think is 50 - 50. I personally also don't like this game. Its over hyped, its a d tier game. They can tweak it for 10 years and it will be same. The positive part is that Tarkov have competition. and we can already see them improve the game.

@@cezar6636 Tarkov already has a lot of competition, it's just those games not exactly an extractor shooters, but gameplay is close (hunt, dayz, ready or not, etc). The main problem that this is looks very generic and looks like they has some tarkov's assets (i know they haven't, but it looks like they have), like all the gun mods and gear looks the same, also the ui, and i didn't see that problem with other games. They all feel different, and only GZW has those very strong tarkov vibes, or more like "tarkov wannabe" vibe, so that's why people often compare it to tarkov @telvinstein8354

I might be in the minority but I don't think I am, focusing on mainly pve for an extraction shooter feels like a death sentence for the longevity of the game. Even ignoring the obvious work in progress stuff, the core idea for the game feels like extraction shooter but single player with the odd darksouls invasion to set you back 30+ minutes.

This is pre-alpha, so they only invited some streamers and youtubers to generate hype

The concept is cool but I kind of hate jungle settings ngl. Urban and more Polar vibes is where it's at. Even an arid setting would be cooler.

they need to make the running and holding the weapons animations better... also i dont understand why they dont make a game like this, mixed with a dayz open world, based in a north american big city, most of theese games are walking throught bushes, fights would feel way more immersive if the maps felt at home

NGL been watching pestily play this for 5 hours. i think its overhyped by a mile. Game looks boring af and so much running around without doing much. I think this game caters more to the arma fanbase than tarkov. I dont think its going to fail but its going to have a small niche playerbase after its been fully released and the casuals leave. Definitly overhyped and not a tarkov killer at all.

I was very looking forward to this game, I even upgraded my graphic card to 4070ti, but the game looks very unrealistic and I can't find any promised features that hyped people before( like realistic ballistic and health/injury system). For me, it's just another common “ hardcore” shooter now. Hype ended.

i know both games are referencing real life objects but it's still.. kinda weird to see the exact same items and icons as tarkov. like the razor headset, tourist bag, surv kit... really doubling down on the tarkov clone vibes. also a secure container? like this feels so blatant, they're not even trying to be subtle about it. like sure the game might be greatest, but this feels like some weak pandering, piggy-backing off years of tarkov development

Im with some other. I know its still super early, but definitely looking like a dime store tarkov merged with ghost recon wildlands. The weapon position seems janky. Gameplay is super slow. Its missing the excitement. Like i said, i know its early. But it doesn't look like a game i could play for hours and hours without getting bored.

It's how you should hold an ar15 in real life. The weird part is that even when walking, he holds it in a ready position. I think the best way is to make the hands work similarly to what is done in Ground Branch, where you can choose between low-ready and high-ready but also can hold it in ready and shoot accurately as long as you have hands stamina, which is not shown unlike in Tarkov

hope it just doesnt flop like the day before.

I hate how creators get early access to games. Just give us all a chance to play.

It's a closed alpha test, stress testing the game/servers. If they released it to everyone at the same time, there would be hundreds/thousands of people bitching about the problems an alpha game is bound to have, and requesting refunds.
