This goes to show that she isn't fit to be a mother at all. Planning on already make her unborn child's life a living hell and causing problems already during her pregnancy period portrays it a lot. William should've seen the signs already when she started smoking and acting weird, just to see her true colors and divorced her. But he might know that the child wont have a happy life when she's raising them. He would've have his kids at this point if he divorced Clara, but he must've always wish they live a better life without her in the first place. But they couldn't dwell on the past now anymore.
