As a little child I used to always watch this and I would get in overalls and a red shirt and hat and would pretend I was Mario so this video brings me so much joy and nostalgia, so without you I probably wouldn't be into things like costume and prop designing, so thank you!

Actually funny thing about the gombas, they are literally only two frames of animation because they were added at the very END of the games development, they made a threat that was easy, but at the same time in later stages made things difficult too, there's only 2 versions of them because of the levels they exist in, making the levels feel realistic oddly enough. But yeah, it's mostly the frames they move so that's where the confusion can be heavily annoying if told off... Especially from a 2 year old comment to now...

Because that's what Mario's thinking about so when your going through his head you see whats going through his head at the time. See what they did there :p. And you can tell its intentional to, as both videos (This one and the End Game one) have peach in Mario's Head. However it is down right scary as if you go to the endgame video and you get to the part where mario is fighting bowser it goes through his head that time aswell the diffrence is the face is replaced with toads face. I guess this is because mario still cares about peach but is worried hell encounter toad instead of peach. And is worried hell be told the same line his princess was in another castle. That or the creator of these videos wanted to be like lets Fuck with the audience. Either way I say it is intresting to say the least.

Dude this is awesome!!!!! You really should make more of these its kind of ocnfusing but after you watch it for a while you figure it out.

I'm sorry but... why isn't this a game someone has actually made? This game. Somebody needs to look at this 'for fun' video and make this a real thing. The little retro indicator is an awesome touch and acts as a nice guide so you don't get lost in that 3d feeling. If this were a game you could play you could switch off the mini window or even swap the main screen to the retro and the mini screen to the 1st person. forget the floAting island, render a terrain so that it blends in with the retro map, but not too much so that you can't see your 'on rails' path... A full game like that... would be baddass. By the way, sounds and music is ace. Nice one rocketjump.

***** Let me ask you this, who hasn't played a Mario game before? 3D world seems good except Galaxy, because I played that game from start to finish and all I have to say about that game, is that it's too damn easy. I breezed through the game with ease, so I didn't find it very enjoyable to begin with. Judgemental? No, I'm just pissed that Mario games are so overrated for what they are worth and everyone saying that you don't have a childhood if you haven't played Mario for the NES, a piece of shit of a console. Another thing that pisses me off is when Nintendo fans say that CoD is the same game every year, when Mario is EXACTLY the same fucking thing. No new story, no new characters, nothing, except for the spinoffs, they atleast have some variety.

Damn I remember this so much that I think I remember downloading a version of this game but with New Super Mario Bros Wii music in it instead and I died on 1-3 because of me not getting used to keyboard controls at the time so yeah I think that version's gone now but it was awesome when I played it.
