In South Lake Union here in Seattle we have the "South Lake Union Transit" aka The S.L.U.T. There were literally OFFICIAL t-shirts and merch that proudly displayed "Ride the S.L.U.T.!" I kid u not.

LOL! Here in Prague are lots of transport fans, so they have merch too, but that is for example flash disk or T-shirt with image of some legendary tram or bus, metro, train....

That reminds me of when I was younger, I went to the airport with my family, and the security service was literally just named "Airport Security Service" aka A.S.S. written in bold on their sleeves. The next day I told my friend at school, drawing what I saw on a piece of paper and some uninvolved child saw it and decided to get me in trouble lol 😤. Luckily since then it's been renamed to just GAIA Security, but I wonder what tourists coming to this very major tourist destination thought of the first security they encounter being called A.S.S. before though 🤣

keep trying. I was and am still like that, I wanted a really nice looking city. At one point I just gave up and began working on a non infinite money non unlock all playthrough, and that how I got my city started. Your city is just fine. You're allowed to like it.

As I grew up in Europe I have Trams everywhere. Usually up to 50 lines and around 6000 people plus 4000 visitors using them in the city. I have many more stops then you do. Roughly every 2-3 blocks.

love seeing this city from ground level. looks really realistic. cant wait to see this city grow!

The fascinating thing about your city is, that almost every view reminds me of places I have been to or at least seen pictures of. That's realism.

Being a Sheffield lad. The supertram was always amazing to get on. Especially going through the city centre to Parkgate or Meadowhall. I’m still upset I moved down south

Tram in this game is so efficient. 3x30 and only need 3-4 small squares for a stop.

Playing the game since release, haven't managed to get a decently looking city done. Cities always feel too "planned", even when I try to grow them "organically".... but yes, there's always a tram / light rail in it. ;)

@@walmartian I think what he meant is due to landscape and only pre-planned highway, which is usually based off of a main road leading to towns back in the day, as you just get dropped in modern day it can be difficult for some people (like myself) to visualise how a city would've grown from way back when

Damn. This video inspired me to play C:S again. That city is absolutely fanominal!

This popped up in my recommended tab I use them in my cities, and in one, I’ve got 2 networks, a classic tram, and another that’s more of a light rail line, and runs in the suburbs to connect metro, monorail and suburb/regional railway stations

Admin, can i suggest something? Please build an artificial island for luxury homes like in Dubai and have tram in it... I hope u appreciate it...Thank You!!!

Why would an Island for the superrich need a tram? It seems so out of place like noone in their right mind would put it there. I mean most rich people own atleast one nice car and considering the low traffic of these high-income areas it wouldn't make ANY sense to ride a tram.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea but it'd be cool to see "hook turns" implemented in Cities: Skylines. Hook turns aren't very common as they are only used in places where trams go along the road. Basically (if you drive on the right hand side) you turn right and wait until the traffic light goes yellow (I think its actually red), then you can turn left. Vice versa if you drive on the left hand side so turn left to turn right. The only trouble I'd see with this is that it could cause a lot of traffic jams.

Yeah, I have trams and a lightrail network, but it looks differently than in your city. Mine light rail is using bridges or tunels to avoid crossing with roads with bigger movement. Also, I'm using a light rail mod, which makes it more quickly

Singapore has 3 elevated light rails: Bukit Panjang, Sengkang East and West Loop, and Punggol East and West Loop.

You could detail your tram stops with benches, plants, trash cans, signs and other things.

we have 2 tram networks and 1 light rail network :D one of the team networks runs along the north side of the island which is the central area of the city, the other has 4 stops and climbs to the peak. the light rail serves 3 urban towns further out, if you can guess the city you're amazing!

@@imperatur I suspected it! you would have built it earlier otherwise ;-) Personally, I don't like monorail stations, they cause too many traffic problems and noise pollution, but cities with monorails and towers everywhere look futuristic and I like that ^^
