Well, they were designed to be viewed from a cinematic third person view and this seems to just be the raw first person view of what the actual head of the player character sees during those. If modders manage to tweak the camera movements and angles to make them look at least mostly sensible though, no doubt that would be really cool to see in action.

@@BobTheBob9 Figures, there's a lot of clipping issues a jank camera movements. It's kinda smart though as then people don't have to download mods to have these animations

The fact that titanfall 1 never disconnected you from the immersion and your pilot through its animations is something I miss terribly

The Northstar one is literally Doom 2016 Revenant death.

Someone needs to create an expansion mod pack that fixes the weird 1st person executions and makes them cleaner

Monarch's Energy Thief execution looked just as epic as I hoped it would be

First person makes some of these so much more terrifying, especially northstar and scorch prime

I love how the last thing you see when getting executed by Legion is his gun spinning up

The first person executions are really pretty good for the most part. Hard to tell what's going on when you're the one getting executed (as a pilot). Most of the Titan executions are really well done, though I think the Scorch executions, the titan is looking away, so you don't really see what's going on. Overall, well done.

I honestly like it, it makes sense because it puts into perspective the sheer power of these giant machines, it’s overwhelming

It'd be amazing if the tone execution where the pilot gets thrown and then shot was in first person for the thrown pilot, that'd look awesome. The first person monarch one where you board the enemy titan looks perfect! As expected some of em look like they need work but its great to see first person titan executions. Just wish the pilot ones were less jank

If you have 1.4, you can filter servers that are full as well as servers that are empty, or search for servers by name. It's pretty nifty.

Ye especially first person embarking creates a lot more immersion and makes you feel super badass, like it's actually you mounting your titan xD

Some of these executions are fucking brutal, especially the ones with the knife.

The Northstar executions from both perspectives, and the data knife and flying knee pilot executions from both perspectives were absolutely fucking bonkers. Love it so much

Ya know,I was expecting most of the first person animations to be pretty janky but a lot of them are pretty great obviously there are some exceptions (Legion seems to be a real problem with first person executions) but the pilot executions range from cool to absolutely brutal and they all seem to work pretty well

One of my favorite features from tf1 was the the first person animations. Loved snapping someone’s neck because I know the very last thing they saw was my face

First person animations is probably the thing I missed the most about TF|1, so happy to see them back

Thx, finally someone did it, seeing them in slow mo has showed that there are a few bugs and i had the idea of playing a pre recorder transparent video in some part of the embarks to fix it, I know you can trigger a video based on an action but goota chek if it can be done on embarks and if it can be different videos per embark

It's insane seeing how close these animations were close to being perfect in 1st person. I genuinely believe if TF2 had a bit more time there would've been a toggle for 1st person animations. It may not be confirmed, but this is cut content IMO

Both of the victim POV of Northstar was honestly terrifying

Watching how the pilots and titans interact from first person with this mod and how it worked in Titanfall 1 just really shows the bond they have and how they're neurally synced

Bro Monarch's battery steal execution is ballistic

Imagine how terrifying the monarch one would be from the victims perspective, fighting a pilot off of you then getting the door slammed on your head

I like how whenever an execution has the pilot trying to leave or get pulled out of the titan its the titan’s point of view

They all look incredible especially the monarch one, it reminds me the good olds days in my stryder on titanfall 1 I never understood why they didn't keep his animations while they were there on titanfall 1 :(

I'm so in love with these animations, gotta love seeing the end of legions predator cannon glowing with malicious intent

The only big issue is the bluring whenever there is something in the execution

Northstar's executions looked so good, as well as the default one for Monarch, and the one for Tone where you shoot the pilot out of the air

I love seeing the good old first person embark such joy

Aight, I feel like I gotta say something, Monarch, Tone, and Northstar look the coolest when executing Monarch, Tone, and Ion look the coolest when embarking, And Monarch and Northstar are the coolest to be executed by with the exception of the Legion’s blast from the canon. But we all gotta admit, the Northstar executions and Monarch power steal execution is badass. EDIT: obviously this is opinionated so feel free to share what you think was the coolest/most badass

The pov for being hit by scorch prime feels like you’re getting assaulted

I can really feel the weight on scorch's ground slam execution

The idea of my own titan grabbing me and shoving me into itself is terrifying. Just one time a system fucks up and oops… pilot soup.

i love how in the pilot execs u can see the menu move around to be palced for 3rd person view

God damn, most of the victim POVs don't look very good, but Northstar's look like how I'd actually want these to look like from that point of view. Ronin's also look great, so maybe the Stryder class is just built different? Honorable mention to Legion and Monarch, their first ones also look pretty good. I wasn't gonna include Pilot executions in this, but In Your Face (14:00) looks amazing.

All of these look really good, obviously there’s some Hank with some models and some of the views being off but it’s a good base. I personally would like to see the titan executions show the cockpit and be in the fp for the pilot but I understand that’s quite a lot of work.

That Northstar titan execution (1st one) was scary! Love it!

The Northstar dlc execution looks even more vicious in first person

11:30 kinda creepy seeing the pilot staring at you in bewilderment shortly after you hear his death by 30 ton chassis slamming into him at 30 miles per hour xD

Alternate title: General Marder watches in horror as insane pilot wastes quadrillions of dollars blowing up titan chassis

As someone who grinded to get every execution this brings tears to my eyes The ones that don't clip the characters out of place are so so awesome though, like data knife to the face, grapple, and flying knee are great and I loved the Monarch steal battery, and most of the other titan executions.

Some of these are really fucking solid. Like the tracking and fp pov seems almost default. Also the fucking beauty in the battery steal monarch exec. Thats prolly my favorite.

That one thing TF2 was missing Finally

Yes it needs a lot of work especially hud while inside the titanfall like executions but the Hud is missing while the animation is playing you don't see the details as well

A lot of these are already amazing, I can't wait to see how this develops

They polished this a lot from when I played it. These look amazing!

Man the level up noise just made me feel nostalgia. Crazy

It quite reminds me of the Titanfall 1 embark and executions for the titans

The Northstar executions look so menacing from the other titans perspective

I think my favorites from the bunch have to be Northstar's Executions, Legion's main Execution, and all of Monarch's Executions. Those all surprisingly flow pretty well for being this impromptu.

This is what TF2 should have been TF1 had leagues better animations that were all in first person wich made the game more immersive overall

All Embark animation and Northstar, Monark excutions looks just perfect.

I miss the wholeness of the Titanfall 1 embark animations, where you'd hop in and the display would flicker on one at a time

I feel like most of the 1st person Pilot executions lose their coolness factor in 1st person. Of course, it's nothing that a little tweaking can't fix

finally, this is something Titanfall 2 needed from the start. Obviously the animations aren't optimizated but that's understandable. I'm not too bothered my 1st person executions but I think overlaying the Titan HUD would make a lot of them look a bit better

Try them with the No HUD mod they look amazing considering.

They look great so far! I think it would be cool if you saw the executions from the hud view.

I think it would be cool if in Titanfall 3 there was option to have either first person animations or third person animations because I love both of them!

In the campaign on the last level, the first person animation for when you embark on the new BT with the legion mini gun is still the best one.

I think they thought about it but they eventually removed it because if you look closely at ION the first titan you get the embark is really well and almost smooth

Scorch Primes looks so cool from first person on someone, and Northstars all look great from both perspectives. Really hope we get a clean-up mod pack someday
