@@GetWellSoonR.E.M. @IwrsTheKing007 You're both gonna do great at building, just remember to use a bit more force than you think you should, the mistakes tend to be when you make yourself worried about it and you just need to make sure things are definitely plugged in properly, the RAM got me when I first did it because I was so scared of breaking something I didnt push it in enough! I actually thought maybe the dimm slot clips just didnt come up by themselves on my motherboard so i put them up myself like a dope but as long as you line it up properly you can push them in and make sure they CLUNK and the clips come up. If its not seated quite right you can feel it kinda pushing back a bit when you try to push, but it'll all go fine and just make sure you read the manual to check what slots to put the sticks in, its probably the 2nd and 4th slots. ALSO when I build I flat pack the cardboard box the case comes in and stand on that because my floors carpeted, and you wanna stay away from carpet cause of the static, but dont worry too much youd have to be really trying to actually damage something. Sorry for the ramble but I know how nervy I was the first time I built something, youre gonna be so happy when you flick the switch and it works!

@@Spawndex Yeah same thing happened to me when I build it last month, I thought the ram was fully in and when I finished the build, it wouldn't post and showed the CPU and Ram error LEDs. I even reseated the ram and it still didn't work. Until I did it a third time with so much more force than I originally tried with, it went in all the way and the PC booted up

Well done for a first time build. Solid no nonsense PC that met your needs.
I have some tips for your build: 9:40 The usb-c connector (type E connector) only goes in one way. Notice how one of the edges is wider than the rest. Specifically, at 9:45 you can see how the pins are slightly off-center. 10:40 NC is short for no-connection, meaning that pin is just a piece of metal used to fill out empty space (it's there so other connectors can't be plugged in). As it is, the reset switch is not functional and instead needs to be connected to RSTCON# and Ground (notice the two lines below these words at 10:42). 11:05 I happen to have the same case as you (except white). The 3.5" hard drive "shelves" can be entirely removed from the case so you have more room to work with the power supply. It also results in an opportunity for better airflow (not that it really matters down there).

I don't think you have to switch the power supply on before you touch it.. as long as it's plugged in. They're telling you to touch it because the metal is attached to the bond wire, which is bonded to ground. As long as the cable is plugged into it, you shouldn't need to switch it on, as that just connects the line and load sides coming from your service panel, completing a circuit.

Great Case and Great choice for brand of gpu
man where was this video when I was building my first pc this is so much easier to understand 😭
Actually great tutorial, ive watched alot of pc building tutorials and this is by far one of the best. One tip for you, your card is a very high end card that consumes good amount of power, i advise you to buy an extra pcie cable for your gpu (very very important for it to match the psu brand and cable type). That insures that your card gets enough power, and i strongly believe it would reduce if not eliminate the gpu coil whine you’re hearing. The main reason for this tip is that a single pcie cable supplies up to 175 watts, the motherboard gpu slot supplies 75 watts, you used a pig tail cable ( the split cable in the gpu) this doesn’t make the cable supply more power magically, though its totally fine for a lower-mid range card, an extra cable would give you the sufficient power needed. Excellent video and i hope i helped someone.
I know most of this stuff, but it is still very satisfying to watch these types of videos :D

Nice job with the build! Just want to highlight one thing for future builders: the goal for a gaming pc is to have the best GPU possible and a CPU that isn’t too weak so it won’t limit the GPU’s proformence. The Ryzen 7600 can be paired with any GPU, and the Ryzen 5600 is also good with most GPUs aside from the high end, like the 7900XTX and RX 4090. Glad to see more people trying out building gaming pcs!

Great job building your first PC man, welcome to the club! I built a few pc's and I have some notes that might help. 13:35 Daisy chaining PCI-E power like this is a bad idea. You should use two separate power cables because one of those can only handle 150W. Your GPU can go as high as 300W. You will probably be fine overloading it since you got a high quality psu - but it's better to be safe than sorry! 15:48 There's no reason to partition an SSD for OS. People used to do it on HDDs to have their OS on the outer side of the spinning disc which is faster. It can cause you problems since all the drivers and os updates will be forced to that (C:) partition. Even some programs refuse to install somewhere else than on C. You should be ok with that 100GB though, you'll see if it causes you any trouble. 23:20 The coil whine usually happens when your GPU outputs high FPS. For me it occurs at 500+ (usually just loading screens for me lol). If it really annoys you, you can get rid of it by limiting your framerate. You probably won't see a difference if you set it to 300 FPS.
First of all, solid choice of parts - You did your research well. :) There are a few things I want to add/suggest: - Prepare the MoBo by installing all necessary components and install the CPU-mounting kit, but don't install the cooler itself yet. - The middle MoBo spacer, which doesn't accept screws is there to hold the MoBo in place, so you can more easily put the 8 remaining screws in without constantly pushing the MoBo against the IO-Shield, so the holes keep lining up. - I personally like to install a regular 9'th spacer to give the MoBo a bit more support, especially when heavier CPU-coolers are used. - When installing a MoBo which has a separate IO-Shield (you plopped in beforehand) keep an eye on the metal latches, which are poking inside the case. It's an easy oversight, that one of this latches pokes inside one of the ports. Finding this out after you already installed all other hardware is quite annoying since you have to take the MoBo out again to fix that issue. - The Frontpanel connectors do have a polarity, except for the switches. The Reset-switch needs to be put on RSTCON and Ground. (NC-NotConnected is a dead contact) - The PLED header you used is a leftover from the old days where the single plug had three holes instead of two separate pins, but using it is fine. - The 4pin Fan-headers are meant for PWM fans, if you use a 3Pin-Fan it is regulated by output-power instead of pulse-width-modulation. PWM doesn't draw more power, it's beneficial for a wider range of RPM with which the fan can operate. 3Pin fans are still fine though. - After installing the MoBo you should put the PSU in the case and route the necessary cables to the MoBo - It's easier to reach the 4/8Pin CPU-power connector up top the MoBo if the cooler isn't installed yet. - Once all cables are plugged in, install the CPU-cooler. Modern mounting kits allow CPU-cooler installation without needing to access the backside of the MoBo. If you use an old CPU-cooler with a mounting kit which forces you to screw everything on from the back it sure is easies to mount the cooler outside of the case. - Then install the CPU-cooler fans, it's easier if the GPU isn't installed yet, like you did. :) - Since your case only comes with two fans I'd recommend to put both as intake in the front of the case - this will be more beneficial to GPU cooling. Better - get a third fan for the front, so you have two intake- and one outtake fan on the back. The backside fan is mainly there to support the CPU-cooler, not to aid airflow. - If possible, use a separate cable from PSU to GPU for every GPU power connector there is on the card. Your 7800XT has 2x8Pin, so two separate GPU power cables would be best practice. But since the GPU doesn't consume much more than 300W under load a single cable is ok. - I'd recommend to update the BIOS to the most current version provided by the vendor before you install the operating system. Also make sure that the board only uses UEFI-mode and not the CSM setting and check that secure boot is enabled if you use a modern OS. - On the BIOS update screen it showed that you were flashing from Ver.1811 to Ver.2613. The second line in the POST screen also shows the BIOS revision. :) - At least get the Chipset and GPU driver directly from AMD (in your case), the Asus page usually offers rather outdated versions. Overall the Windows Update will search for more recent drivers but usually also only provides rather old versions for Chipset and GPU. Old Network and Audio drivers are less of an issue. - Coil whine is directly corelating with the amount of power the gpu uses. More Power = More coil whine. The way the power-section of the MoBO and GPU are designed inherits audible coilwhine, more expensive cards use better components which mitigate this "issue", but overall there's no way around this without a drastically different approach for providing power to the components. Limiting the FPS leads to less power draw and thus to less coil whine. You can also use the AMD GPU Driver to try to undervolt the GPU (automatic mode is fine for a start) so it uses less power for the same performance output. Also less power usage is beneficial for the lifespan of your neat GPU. :)

love the video, my guy is really fun to watch. for others wanna build a nice pc my advice is not to use the "prime" motherboards. If you wanna use ASUS go with the TUF (which costs more), or just find a motherboard from other brands (I recommend MSI and ASROCK ) with the same price they usually nicer with better cooling for the VRM because you might wanna use a high-end CPU and you wanna get the max out of it.
I also recently built my first computer. I'm glad it went well for you, because my motherboard was faulty, but luckily that was the only thing I needed to replace. My PC has definetly exceeded my expectations and I'm glad I went with building a PC.

What’s the specs of your pc?
overall great video I have one thing I wanted to point out. when you plug in your gpu, I can see you're using the second connector for the other cable spot. obviously this works, but depending on the exact gpu it can cause issues if it tries to draw a load meant for 2 cables through just the 1. I don't think the 7800xt can draw that much, but general best practice is to use a separate cable from the psu. fantastic helper for new builders though!
You definitely did your research.
