First oil change in 11 years! Triple locked 80 Series Landcruiser, LX450 Overland Build Episode 1

New overland build project! I picked up a triple locked 80 series Land Cruiser! The purist will say its not a land cruiser its a Lexus LX450. I look at the mechanicals and see it as a land cruiser. The plan for this is to be a more capable replacement to my factory rear locked 3rd gen Toyota 4runner. The 80 needs a lot of work and has a long road ahead before it makes it out on the trail.
The end goal is to make it an extremely capable and comfortable overland rig to take the adventures to the next level. I don't plan to build a rock crawler but Definity plan on putting it through its paces once its complete. Nate @DirtLifestyle happens to be building a 97 LX450 into a rock crawler, I will be watching his build closely for inspiration and may borrow some ideas from him.
The first step is to go through the mechanicals and get a parts list together . I found out that this has been very neglected and hasn't had an oil change in 11 years!! Lots to come on this build. Make sure to subscribe!

I wish if you opened up the valve cover to see if possible engine oil sludge

I’ll be opening it up in about a month to replace the valve cover gasket. I’m Definitely a little concerned it may be full of sludge.

The ads help a lot, just in the past week alone they are responsible for 35 new subscribers and around 3500 views. I’d like to eventually get the channel to a sustainable point but I’m not sure if I’ll ever get there.
